I’m sure it will change once it gets going.
Right now, that is the same as an Air Force camo uniform with a Space Force name tape.
Hint: These are already in stock. An airman (or is it spaceman?) is given a set of uniforms in basic training, and then a monthly uniform allowance.
That allowance isn’t much! It’s meant to replace items as they’re worn or damaged.
Having to buy a whole bunch of uniforms all it once can be very expensive; about $1,000. Senior NCOs and officers might be able to afford that, but not the junior troops. Normally a complete change is provided by the service.
So right now, there are 23,000 Air Force troops included in the new Space Force. Buying a ton of uniforms for all of them would be 100s of thousands of dollars, if not millions, given all the design and spin up needed to make unique uniforms.
These aren’t unique.
When the Air Force split from the Army for good in 1947, I don’t think they completed the phase out of Army uniforms until the mid 1950s.
