“There is no evidence anywhere in the world of older people having a higher risk of being infected.”
Then I guess these folks are wrong:
CDC: 80 percent of US coronavirus deaths are people 65 and older

I figure you bring things home, put on gloves, put your groceries away. I think they have a list somewhere that tells you how long the virus lives on inanimate objects. Wipe down anything plastic with wipes (or Lysol), dont save the plastic bags just throw them away.
They probably are to Sanitize self checkouts, pharmacy area, bathrooms, price check machines, counters.
I guess you don’t know the difference between infection and death? Lol Public school?
Once again: There is no evidence anywhere in the world of older people having a higher risk of being infected.
The current pandemic has totally scared off the temp workers and large numbers of company employees
Yep. Thank goodness for self check out. Wally world would be sunk without them now. This week I did over hear a Walmart manager complaining about customers asking stocking employees questions and wasting their time. He of course was standing around and not putting product on the shelves.
If anything, this pandemic will hasten the deployment of robots.
“I was at Walmart yesterday and the area with canned beans was completely empty.”

The person who bought those canned beans was heard yelling at the associates, “I fart in your general direction!”
You have to do it at midnight... or REALLY early in the morning and you might get end of next day.
We dared enter Walmart last Saturday night. I felt SO bad for the stockers. Many of them are probably hires off of the street and people walking up to them... where are canned tomatoes... when will you stock that box...
Deer in the headlights.
60 and older get a special hour on Tuesday. This is a retirement community. It’ll be packed with old, slow people (I’m 64)! Get your stuff and stand in line for two hours. Ugh...
“How ‘bout some more beans, Mr. Taggart?”
No pickup times available at this time. Every slot is taken for the next week and they don’t take reservations before then. Possibly, some new times will be available in the morning.
If anything, this pandemic will hasten the deployment of robots.
Agree. Robots are the future of retail.
Stein Mart is closed here in FL. Probably forever.
I’ve got to hand to Aldi, though. They always run a tight ship but they are really stepping up now. Stopped in today and they had most everything except TP and hand sanitizer. Managers were on the floor breaking down pallets and shelving product. I saw no such sense of urgency at Walmart yesterday.
Another senior perk and I just turned 60...oh, wait...it’s just Walmart
This will give their employess time to get more TP. Seriously I was there today just before 6AM. The guard let an employee out with a cart full of toliet paper, which she took to her car and then returned to the store. Once they let the 6 of us waiting outside in, not one roll was on the shelves. I picked the wrong careeer.
They are only doing current and next day. They are no longer allowing out a week, that is why you don’t see out a week.
Theyve discontinued pick up orders here. Not enough stock.
Double check. They initially cancelled everyone’s orders yesterday. Then they sent a notice out that they are only scheduling out one day. If you don’t hit the online order midnight, early morning, all slots for next day will be taken.
I went out today for my daughter. She has 3 kids at home now that they cancelled school and by the time she makes it to any store the shelves are empty. One of the kids has a cold and she hit 3 drugstores on her side of town and couldnt find childrens Tylenol. Bare shelves. She couldnt find milk or toilet paper either. So I went out at 9 this morning to get the kid meds and milk for her. No tp anywhere so I took her one of my stashed 12 packs. Its ridiculous.
