I find it funny how we are trusting store employees to sanitize a store. Even in ideal conditions it is almost impossible to clean a high traffic area. They would need to remove every item from the shelf, clean the outside of the item and the shelves themselves. This is just a feel good approach.
“Walmart stores will have limits for customers in certain categories including paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.”
They should have limited weights. Every barbell, dumbbell, and plate was sold out at all the Walmarts in my neighborhood.
A pro-active, smart business idea. I wouldn’t mind ALL retail shops closing earlier if it would mean better stocked, better organized and CLEANER stores.
This will be a blow to Beau. He raccoon hunts, so wanders around a lot in the night. He’s mentioned to me many times how easy it is to shop at Walmart at 2am, LOL!
So if you are 60 you need to go in at 6am or can you go any other time?
I would just rather order online but that seems to be all screwed up at the moment.
I was at Walmart yesterday and the area with canned beans was completely empty ,LOL
Dammit. I have to be at work at 7. I hit Wal-Mart a couple times a week just after 6 to get in and out quickly when it’s empty.
People who have all day to shop aren’t going to be affected. Those of us who work are going to be crammed into the store in those few hours after work and before they close. Seems that will be the opposite of social distancing.
Good time to start that workout weve been talking about since W was in.
I was wondering the same thing about sanitizing a store. More importantly, what about the hands opening boxes, taking product out and stocking the shelves? Are they all gloved? How often are gloves changed? How are they doffed and discarded?
Place pickup order. They have hours until 7.
There is a chain of stores called Sendik’s in the Milwaukee area. They are higher end, but their prices are in line with Kroeger and other national chains. They close at 9PM and there store are always neat.
Haven’t been to WalMart, but our local Publix is out of just about everything. No toilet paper, no bread, no hot dogs. It’s worse than when a hurricane is forecast.
The Rural King has people lined up 6-deep at the gun counter and ammo is just about non-existent
Wonder if they will card you or do you just have to look 60
One night I awoke around 2:00 A.M. and decided to do my shopping at the 24 hour Walmart. I think I was the only customer in the store.
When I got ready to checkout I had to find someone to do so. Evey one was stocking shelves. Closing early would not be much of a change.
Ultra Violet Light kills the heck outta viruses.
UV treatment is simple and can even be done by a robot .... so most WalMart people should be competent enough.
1) UV the store
2) UV the products as they are unpacked (should be as simple)
3) Now the hard part .... UV the shoppers
Everybody goes home for a stiff drink, wild sex and a rising Trump economy !

Yeah, I would bet sanitizing is not happening.
Meijer is open 24/7.

“Walmart is offering ... an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers aged 60 and older.”
Which hour, I wonder. Would be good to know.
