Can Zinc Lozenges Help with Coronavirus Infections

First, let's talk a bit about zinc. It is an essential mineral for one's health. We cannot live without it. But we don’t need very much. About 15 mgs a day will do. Zinc is important in wound healing, the functioning of our immune system, eyesight, brain development, the proper functioning of sperm and the synthesis of testosterone. (The latter might explain the traditional belief that oysters possess aphrodisiac properties due to their high zinc content). Even our senses of smell and taste depend on enzymes that include zinc in their molecular structure.

The possibility of zinc having antiviral activity was first noted in 1980 when doctors, more on a lark than anything else, treated a 3-year old girl with a 50 mg zinc gluconate tablet to try to boost her immune system because of chronic colds. She refused to swallow the tablet but did suck on it as if it were candy. Her symptoms resolved! This prompted a number of studies on the value of zinc supplements in alleviating the common cold. The trials have been split down the middle, with some showing an improvement in symptoms and some not. One study, however, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, seemed to shift the playing field in favor of the supplements.

I've run across a bunch of information indicating zinc may help prevent/reduce the effects of coronavirus in the elderly. Please note that many everyday multivitamin pills (e.g. Once a Day, etc.) have 100% Zinc RDI. Ditto many other supplements etc. (e.g. hair growth pills, etc.).

That will make sure it has not Democrat support.

Dr. Zelenko has stated that hydroxychloroquine acts as a sort of portal for zinc to enter the cells and stop the virus from replicating.

Zinc supplements is part of Dr Raoult’s treatment regimen. Dr Raoult is the guy in France who pioneered use of chloroquine to fight the virus.

I’m beginning to suspect that major retailers are taking a look at their inventories and asking “so what are we overstocked on today?” and then leaking stories like this.

My multivitamin only has 45% zinc RDA, so I’m taking extra zinc tablets.

Zinc boosts your immunity system. You can take the supplement, or pay 10x the amount for “Zicam.”

Yes..this is why we have been looking at things that act as a zinc transporter now for weeks.

One dr here is using zinc piconlinate. I just ordered quercetin phytosome as rec. By a dr to act as a transporter.

Also doing a zinc lozenge to coat the throat since that is one of the first symptoms.

When i got sick a few weeks ago from asians coughing on me i used a zicam...and just let it sit there in the back of my throat..lasted a long time. Probably not a good idea because i fell asleep with it back there and hours later it was still there..i guess i could have choked myself..but sure did coat the throat

You can “pull” it off with a 9 volt battery and some salt water.

I haven’t looked it up, but I am quite sure that the alloys used by the mint for pennies are not considered ‘food grade’

Years and years ago, I read of a doctor whose daughter had a red sore throat. He gave her a zinc pill, but she didn’t want to swallow it. So she just let it melt in her mouth. In the morning her throat was fine. So the doc is the one who started the lozenge idea.

As soon as I have the slightest feeling of a sore throat or swollen glands coming on, I take zinc lozenges -— one every few hours. In a short time, I am fine.

Dr Zelenskys regimen: Most have responded-699 patients, 1 serious
He only treats elderly and compromised.
He doesnt treat young people as he says they can get over this in 2 weeks if they are healthy and not immune compromised

The cocktail reduces the amt of virus the body is infected with giving the immune system time to recover and fight the virus
Occ he has had to treat for 8 days

Cost of Rx is US$ 20
worst side effect theres a concern of arrhythmias from Zithromax and Hydroxychloroquine but none of his colleagues have seen that

1. Zithromax500mg day x 5 days

2. Hydroxyclroroquine 200mg bd x 5 days for outpatients

ICU1st day 400mg bd then 200mg bd x 5 days

3. Zinc 220mg once daily x 5days

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko has now treated 699 coronavirus patients with 100% success using Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate, Zinc and Z-Pak [UPDATES]

“Hey Joe, we’ve got 42 cases of Brussels sprouts back here. What are we going to do with them?”

“I’ve got an idea. What’s the number for the local TV station?”
