Our only hope is SC declares enough states electors invalid that no one gets to 270 and they instruct the congress to elect a prez and vp in accordance with constitution...... and that chance is very very small.

Better chance of winning the lottery

The electoral college was sort of an afterthought by the framers because they couldnt come up with an agreeable plan.

I think it is a great one.

And one that could, in theory, prevent what is about to happen.

No one has the balls to do it.

I dont blame them. Look at what they did to those in Michigan who refused to certify results.

I agree. SC will not go down that road

If the Supreme Court avoids meaningful action against this fraud, and the indisputable threat to our republic, it portends bad things for what’s left of the liberties that made this country great (e.g., our right to free speech).

We should enjoy expressing ourselves freely while we can. I have no doubt that the Dems intend on muzzling us to an extent never before imagined and at some point will look to friendly courts to rubber stamp it.

If one person, one vote is gone, then so is the republic. All hell will break out if the courts don’t stop this.

(I suspect that’s why Twitter suspended her)

On the positive side it gives her more time to work on her case.

After reading Matt Brann's opinion, it's embarrassing that it includes a sentence fragment like, No different here..

************

I have no legal background but found it very odd to find a statement like this in Brann's decision, especially in view of the gravity of the matter before him and the fact that it pertains to the president of the United States:

"This claim, like Frankenstein’s Monster, has been haphazardly stitched together from two distinct theories in an attempt to avoid controlling precedent."

I've done a lot of writing in my career but would never have written anything like that. It seems dismissive, sarcastic and unprofessional to me.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think General Flynn was tweeting for her so she could get the word out anyway.

When Sidney has been on interviews prior to the election, her hair was always styled, plenty of makeup, well-dressed & she usually wears a big necklace of some sort. I saw an interview with her the other day ... hair is short, straight, no necklace, minimal makeup & she looked TIRED. I hear some of the folks working on the legal cases are working 20 hour days.

Well, that’s Matt Brann, and its the kind of stuff he wrote in the school paper years ago. He is a judge as a payback for his work for the state old GOP bosses. Trump has taken the party in a new direction, and the old guard wants their power back. The fact is that too many of our judges are just political hacks.

Our law schools need an overhaul in many ways. They are controlled by the ABA, which has a near total monopoly in regulating law schools and degrees in the U.S. Long gone are the days when a person could become a lawyer by apprenticing under a practicing lawyer for a term of years. You wouldn’t want a guy with B.S. in engineering being recognized as professor because he got A’s and won a competition to make the biggest structure with dry spaghetti and marshmellows. Yet, our law schools are taught by people with only a first law degree, and maybe wrote law review comments or were on moot court teams. In other places, law professors actually need to write a peer reviewed dissertation. Then such people get named judges, but not in the U.S.

Furthermore, having read the cited precedent, I wouldn’t agree that it was necessarily controling. Since it was pending further appellate review in the Third Circuit, he could have certified the question to the Third Circuit for interlocutory review possibly. Trump’s team just requested review on the issue of his refusal to read the second amended complaint.

It doesn’t look like there will be enough time to bring the case to the Supreme Court before the safe harbor provision kicks in, before the Electoral College meets.

Or the strategy could be to freeze the electoral votes of as many states as possible to frustrate the safe harbor provision. People forget, what happened in 2000 was that the FL state legislature was ready to meet to vote for a Bush slate of electors themselves. That's why SCOTUS shut down the recount. Dershowitz has been very clear that Trump should win the PA case as a matter of law if SCOTUS takes the case, or the Third Circuit reveses en banc. I think WI is similar, but requires additional factual anlaysis.
