Thanks for posting.

FWIW, I had the opportunity to have a long talk with a veteran of the Sicily campaign. He said that if you mentioned the name Lucky Luciano to the locals you were golden. Not only would the locals give detailed info on where the Germans were, they would kill the fatted calf as it were. If no Germans were nearby you were loaded down with food and wine to carry with you.

Strange isn’t it how little bits of history come to light. Italians were not for the most part interested in Fascism or fighting against America.

Most of the D-Day keyword, with a supplemental keyword (19440606) added in, duplicates out, also my sort knocks all the vetscor topics to the top (it's not that much of a problem, usually), so they're listed separately.
