If you were the one who got shot, it is a lot annoying.
One is assuming room temperature. The other will be cooling his heels in prison.

You are right, but my point was that if you have the option of leaving or calling the cops, then leave. The cops are, at best, minutes away. Just leave, if you can.
I watched this video. The motorcyclist was unarmed, and off the bike. I doubt, by that point, he could have fled. He shouldn’t have gotten off the bike. He should not have stopped. (Presuming that was possible) The best way to deescalate that type situation is to leave. It does not look like an accident was involved. The bike is upright. There is a lot of context missing as to what caused this.
The guy in the truck deserves murder charges. He also needs to change his name to Alex Baldwin.
I don’t know why anyone is on Facebook. I get tired of people saying I know but....
You and I are in agreement on all of this. I would like to point out three things about this that are interesting and really matter both legally and culturally:
1. I learned in my concealed carry class that I can use a gun to protect myself against someone that is threatening serious physical harm. I can also use it against someone that is threatening serious physical harm against someone else. However in the latter case, I had better be right. If it turns out I actually defended the bad guy or I mistook the actions, I’m liable for what happens. And I think the shooter is going to spend a lot of time in prison because of that.
2. Whenever you get so angry at another driver that you think you need to find a way to stop them and talk to them or give them a piece of your mind, it’s a good idea to imagine that they have a gun and they’re ready to shoot you if you seem to be a threat. And I believe that this is going to start happening more and more as our society gets more and more coarse. Hopefully these kind of people will learn to not escalate a situation.
3. I watch a lot of crash videos and I noticed nowadays most of them are more about people just being ticked at someone cutting them off or something like that. I say it this way, there are a lot of Karen’s buying dash cams now. But here’s the kicker: I see a lot of videos on people break checking other people. The funny thing is most of those people that get brake checked are laying on their horn because they’re mad at something someone did. Horns are for being used before something happens, not after. When you use your horn after something happens you’re just being a dick. And that’s even if the other guy was stupid or wrong to do what they did.
Like I said earlier, an armed society is a polite society. People will think twice about trying to take on other people over minutia if they really believe the other guy just could have a gun on them.

It’s been reported elsewhere the motorcyclist was weaving through traffic which is annoying but hardly the most annoying thing another motorist can do on the roads. The dad shot him from inside the truck after the son jumped out to confront. The son made no move as if he was in danger, expressed no surprise at the shot, or made any attempt to render aid or report the incident once the victim was down. They just fled the scene. Both their Facebooks are cluttered with Confederate flags and they seem to be the most easily caricatured Southern rednecks in the world, down to to morbidly obese wife and low effort Jesus not Santa and Anti-mask muh faith will save me from Covid despite the fact I’m grossly overweight memes. Just a couple of idiots making anybody with a conservative opinion look bad.

The comments are mainly about how to stay alive on the mean streets of today and at the same time stay out of prison.
And your contribution is caps are bad?
Opinions should be judged on their value to the observer, not on how they are delivered. Caps, spelling, grammar, typos and punctuation are not as important as the value of the content.
There are thousands of highly educated fools who propose crazy theories in the most faultless spell binding prose, proving the idea is more important than the construction of the message.
The problem was, at the link, the text was not in all caps.
He had to manually type all that stuff in all caps, which makes it difficult to read, thus defeating the purpose of posting in the first place, which is to get people to read it..............
Regardless, I thank him for posting.
I live a two hours drive from the shooting and not one word appeared in the local news about it.
So I consider his post a favor to those of us who live in areas where press is controlled, not free.
At the same time, I suggest that it is proper to post
a little fatherly advice about how to post a headline or a link .
So whats the methodology of showing your weapon without it being “brandonshing “??

The mere presence of a weapon in your hand is not considered “brandishing”.
