The return of Vindman, clamoring to start World War III

God help us if the Biden administration follows Vindman's advice.

Among the most fervent war hawks in America today is Alexander Vindman, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and a former member of the NSC, who now works at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies Foreign Policy Institute. His previous claim to fame was as a witness who testified about former president Donald Trump's call to Ukrainian officials in the second impeachment trial of Trump. He became an instant hero to the crowd at MSNBC and other anti-Trump major media (is there any other kind?). Vindman also reportedly claimed that Trump "bears an enormous burden of responsibility" for the Russia-Ukraine war, even though Russia's aggression against Ukraine has occurred during the Obama and Biden administrations. There was no Russian aggression against Ukraine on Trump's watch.

Vindman has now taken to the pages of Foreign Affairs to urge U.S. policymakers to "embrace the goal of Ukrainian victory" against Russia by throwing caution to the wind. The United States, he writes, is not doing enough to help Ukraine win this war. We should forget about building a stable relationship with Russia and instead provide Ukrainian forces with sufficient military weaponry to take the war to Russia's territory, Vindman counsels. We need to "discard the desire" to seek a compromise with Russia for a negotiated peace.

Vindman writes that our aid thus far has been too "incremental." Too many of our policymakers, he says, are acting based on a "flawed assessment of the risk of escalation and the potential consequences of a Russian defeat." The United States should provide Ukraine with weapons that can reach far inside Russia to destroy "militarily relevant targets" there. "There can be no return to business as usual with Russia," according to Vindman,

Russia reviving the Taurida Governorate with captured Kherson - Zaporizhzhia region

Major clue about Russian intentions: they are issuing official “Tuarida Governate” license plates in the captured Kherson - Zaporizhzhia region just north of Crimea. Tuarida was a “governate” in the old Russian empire. It runs to the south bank of the Dnepr in the west, and to Donetsk Oblast in the east. I don’t think they’d be issuing the Russian version of state license plates if they planned on leaving. Still in question are their plans to capture Odessa and entirely cut Ukraine off from Black Sea access. At any rate, it sure looks like they plan to incorporate Luhansk, Donetsk, “Tuarida” and Crimea into Russia. At the very least.

Defense Politics Asia, a truly outstanding Singapore-based blogger, has a fascinating video on this today.

Yes. Yes, that’s what they want. And they want to KILL all the non-believers. For their own good, of course.

The left are just delusional about what they think they know, and they generally live in a giant echo chamber. I don't recognize the world they've influenced.

You want to know why we are in this Ukrainian quagmire? Go back and watch the NSC/State Department “impeachment” of Trump. The Vindmans, the NSC, State and the entire GOP swamp was out to eliminate Trump for trying to pick up the Ukrainian rock that DC oligarchial business was being transacted under. It’s all about protecting the crony compatriots and the money laundering operation in Ukraine. With the tens of billions in funding the crooks in DC will now be able access from Ukraine, don’t expect anything to change regardless of how many have to die to maintain the DC gravy train.

I just made this map, the idea coming from Defense Politics Asia's "Tuarida" video.

The historic core of Ukraine is just above the Dnepr River, no way is Russia going there. Odessa and Kharkiv are doubtful. Russian withdrawal around Kharkiv indicates they are not going to try to take that region.

If Russia isn't going to try to take Kharkiv, odds are they won't try for Odessa either, but Odessa might be a higher priority, in order to take the entire Black Sea coast. The Odessa region might then be a bargaining chip in future negotiations, that is, the return of Odessa to Ukraine might be traded for Ukraine's agreement to cede Luhansk, Donetsk, "Tuarida" and Crimea to Russia.

Russia maximum goal: All of yellow shaded area, plus Odessa, complete control of the Black Sea coast.

Russian minimum goal: All of yellow shaded area, complete control of Donesk, Luhansk, "Tuarida" and Crimea. Complete control of the mouth of the Dnepr River, possibly some of the north bank.

I figured some of our FR neocon General Jack D. Ripper let the ICBM’s fly-Putin’s got to die gang would be calling for Lt. Col. Vindman to be put in charge of WWIII after all he is their expert on the Ukraine and if the Ukraine falls all of western civilization will come to an end.
