Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”<
I wasn’t giving you a compliment, not even a backhanded one. “Saccharine sweetness” means sweet in a way that does not seem sincere or genuine. Phony, like you.
2 Timothy 3:16 tells us, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
You do not use Scripture in this manner. You use it to your advantage: To present yourself as a caring, loving person who is highly educated in Bible doctrine...one whose positions should be respected and not questioned because a REVEREND who quotes the Bible would surely tell the TRUTH about EVERYTHING.

A propos of another part of this thread -- scriptural citations being lobbed -- I saw a wonderful discussion of serious bible translators.
As you can imagine, great sophistication and deep theological understanding still brought out some disagreements. Most amusingly, towards the end an "old duff" who'd forgotten more than I ever knew, got up to say, "Gentlemen, I understand your concerns. For myself, I prefer to read the Scriptures in the original languages." Many disagreements came to a close....

You encourage them by tallying up the huge Russian body count and reporting how Ukraine is pounding Russia into the ground winning BIG battles.
Every day, according to you, the Ukrainian military is winning ground, but they must have MORE FIGHTERS to hold back the “Ruzzians”.

Military intelligence is claiming that Putin lied during his press conference and in fact there are not over 600,000 Russia soldiers in the occupied territories, but closer to 450,000 soldiers.
Russia has been projecting strength and hiding their losses and failures so as to demoralize the West and convince politicians in America and the EU to stop supporting Ukraine. Ukraine is now forced to conserve their resources and man-power for a protracted and long war as they are unsure if additional resources are coming soon.
