The photograph was taken from lunar orbit on December 24, 1968, 16:39:39.3 UTC,[7][8] with a highly modified Hasselblad 500 EL with an electric drive. The camera had a simple sighting ring rather than the standard reflex viewfinder and was loaded with a 70 mm film magazine containing custom Ektachrome film developed by Kodak. Immediately prior, Anders had been photographing the lunar surface with a 250 mm lens; the lens was subsequently used for the Earthrise images.[9]

There were many images taken at that point. The mission audio tape establishes several photographs were taken, on Borman's orders, with the enthusiastic concurrence of Jim Lovell and Anders. Anders took the first color shot, then Lovell who notes the setting (1/250th of a second at f/11), followed by Anders with another very similar shot (AS08-14-2384).

Also of note is the timing of the visits to the moon.
Man was never on the moon at a full moon or new moon.
Radio and TV communications would at times be saturated by noise from the sun if all three objects aligned. So when the sun is close to right angles to the earth and moon, best communication occurs.

This looks like pointless minutia, but anyway...
It's a simple fact that there's something between these two earths, being it the letter vav, or the verse division itself, even the *fact* that there exists a theory about something mysterious going on between those two verses (a vast amount of time and a new creation).
The theory exists. That much is a fact, just like the fact that the holiday of Christmas is December 25th. It's printed right on the calendars, homemade pumpkin pie and all that.
And on the same day the Apollo 8 crew read the first 10 verses of Genesis, Anders (who read verses 1-4) took those pictures.
It’s great shot. We forget how important it is.

and use it as the primary on my 500CM.

Well, I do have the memory of the sudden scent of film when popping the lid on the container, so there's that.
This is kind of funny re the doubled doubling, emphasized by the way they formatted it:

And it was a week later (or longer?) before the film was developed!
It is amazing how much technology is available to almost everyone in 2023. Of course, the downsides are also amazing.

However, the Sol-counts simply count a day on Mars as having 24-hours, so those "10 degrees" go back every day. It's a 'miracle'! 😇
This run-though really opened a whole new perspective on the concept that the sense of smell is the most spiritual sense (and memory-maker), because here I am riding a wave on the literal words for spirit and scent, not the sense itself, or even the topic. All kinds of light.
