I recall watching a man brought up for a probation revocation hearing. His initial offence was something drug related, and he had moved to New Orleans and few years later was arrested for being drunk in public. Drunk in Public in NOL must be like third degree littering by local standards, but the court was going to whack him big time anyway.
Do you know if he will have to serve half (10.5 months), before being released on parole for good behavior? If so, is it likely he will not be sent to the “big house”, but will do his time in a county jail?
