Zogby "Poll" Advertises - II

Zogby Now a PR Firm, cont’d.

Just yesterday I participated in the Nov. 10 Zogby On-line Poll (invitation only). Aside from being far more lengthy than usual, I was struck by the “advocacy” nature of the questions. Rather than being content to survey attitudes, it was very clear to me that Zogby was trying to influence and to change those attitudes, at least regarding what must be a new customer for them: The “Brady Bunch”!

That was my conclusion, at least. Here are the questions regarding firearms: you be the judge, but it looks to me as if Zogby have crossed the line between polling firm and advertising/public relations firm!

----------------------------------------------

Do you agree or disagree that American firearm manufacturers who sell a legal product that is not defective should be sued if a criminal uses their products in a crime?

Currently, 36 states have laws that allow residents to qualify for a permit to carry a firearm if they pass a background check, if they take a firearms safety-training course, and if they pay a fee to cover administrative costs. Do you support or oppose such laws?

**Here are two statements about gun control. Please pick which statement comes closer to your point of view - A or B? Statement A: There needs to be new and tougher gun control laws to help in the fight against gun crime. Statement B: There are enough laws on the books, what is needed is better enforcement of current gun control laws.

Do you agree or disagree that Congress should pass a federal law that allows reciprocity between all states that allow concealed carry of a firearm so that the concealed carry permit in one state is automatically honored by another state that also allows concealed carry of a firearm?

John Kerry said he always has and always will fight to protect the legal right to keep and bear arms. Did Kerry's statement on guns make you more likely or less likely to vote for him or did it make no difference?

Did John Kerry's hunting trips, statements in support of the Second Amendment and campaign material in support of the Second Amendment convince you that Kerry has been a defender of guns and hunting in the Senate?

The Supreme Court's ruling on the campaign finance law will prevent organized labor, National Abortion Rights Action League, Right-to-Life, and the National Rifle Association from having a voice within two months of a general election and one month of a primary election. Do you think that Congress should return the right to these organizations to advertise prior to a political campaign or should they restrict the rights of media organizations and corporations in order to level the playing field?

Do you or does anyone in your household keep a gun for personal protection or hunting at your home, place of business, or at a vacation home or club?

Does this presage a coming push by the East Coast Liberals to try again to grab our guns?

How was it President Bush phrased that challenge, exactly...?

I too took that poll. I backed out when I smelled a gun grabbing rat plot.

I was on the list for Zogby's online polls until the election. When I got the last poll, I responded by asking to be taken off the list. Zogby is just another liberal shill and has sacrificed his credibilty for the leftist agenda, just like the MSM.

I took the poll also. Full of questions about Vietnam -- what could make you favorably inclined to visit, is it totalitarian or free, etc. Looks to me like the anti-gun lobby and the Vietnamese commies are Zog's new clients.

When you answer that last question with a "None of your da*# business", they probably just put you down as a "yes".

I completed the poll. I'm sure that Zogby will not approve of my answers.....but I think by firing back with strong conservative answers we can help influence the left into seeing the futility of many of their causes.

---the push has never been off-it just had to be dormant for a while, til the election was over.

Gallup was doing "polls" like this 40-50 years ago, by the way---

With all the conservatives jumping off his mailing list, no wonder the last election came as such a shock to ol' John!

"With all the conservatives jumping off his mailing list,"

This exodus started, as near as I can tell, after the election. With the conservatives refusing to participate, all of his conclusions will be invalid as being skewed leftward. Result: Zogby's in the unemployment line. I believe he abused his position to attempt influence the election, which puts him in the same category as Dan Rather in my book.

Not possible. Most of the answers were illegal, aka unconstitutional. The poll is rigged, and had no good questions, and no good answers.
