Bridge is a good war picture, but I always spend the next 3 days on the brink of insanity from that whistling tune in my head.

It's a good book. I never got into the series, read a couple follow up books, but, the first couple were good. I never watched the tv shows, or saw the movies. Hollywood is so lame lately, I hate watching how they hack up a good story. The description of the blue eyes and riding the worms I remember well. I'm probably due to read them again. Kind of like the Hobbit.

Oooh, stay away from "Deep Impact," unless you want to see Tea Leoni give the performance of a lifetime. And believe you me, that's not sayin' much. (Beotch stole David Duchovny from me, but I didn't like her even before that.)
What an all-time wretched flick that was. I swear, I cheered when I thought the characters we're supposed to like were about to perish awfully.

May I make a book recommendation to you based on your "Mark Twain" and "Huck" picks? (and knowing your quick and slightly sick sense of humor)
Try the 4 books that start with "Run with the Horses" by Ferrol Sams or Samms.
Agreed. Great writing, great ensamble cast. Would love to see a reunion show.
I had a hard time choosing between that and the Great Escape. Then the more I thought about it, I really needed a top 5. They made some great war movies in those days. Remember Von Ryan's Express? Or a little farther back in history, The 300 Spartans?
