"Minuteman" Jim Gilchrist is my prospective opponent for California's 48th District U.S. House Rep. special election. Does anyone know what his stance is on the Iraq War? I for one firmly support the President and our operations in Iraq. What is Gilchrist's position on the war?
Thank you, J. Scott Davis
My point is.... nevermind, I forgot! But I would never vote for anyone that compares Iraq to Vietnam and wants to pursue the same strategy.
I also believe that if we are going to allow foreign nationals to join the military to gain their citizenship, then this should be a manner of application and entry, through proscribed means, with proscribed checks, at the appropriate and proscribed ports of entry.
We must know who is coming in and they must be coming in according to law. The borders need to be controlled to do this and the proscribed methods and entry points clearly defined.
Until we take this type of clear and un-ambiguous stand and make it reality not only in law but in deed...we shall not solve the problem and we shall be at risk.
...others that I have pinged. JScott is a candidate for Congress whio will be running against GilChrist. He has asked and answered some questions on this thread reasonably and openly. I thought you might be interested.
I don't understand what you are saying!
I have so much admiration for those warriors who defended
our country during the Vietnam War. We owe them so much and
I'm very grateful for their service. Thus, I don't believe
that I was making any comparisons.
Now let's get back to the original issue. What is Gilchrist's stance on the Iraq War of which I support?
BTW, we share the same opinion on Bill Clinton!
I'm "for" on questions one and two.
A fence? Is that practical?
Neither do I! I just jumped in to a middle of a thread without looking. Good luck!
"practical?"
Have you seen the fence in Israel?
Do you know how much a fence like that would cost to be built on the northern and southern borders?
We can't afford gas prices! The fence might not be practical.
What is Gilchrist's stance on the Iraq War that I personally support?
Best of luck to you in the Congressional race!
A Citizen's Suggestions (to a Reluctant Government) to Stem The Crisis of Illegal Immigration
"What is Gilchrist's stance on the Iraq War that I personally support?"
I don't know. But when you ask Gilchrist be sure and let us know. LOL
"We can't afford gas prices!"
"We?" Who is the "we" in the federal government who's paying for OUR gas? LMAO
(I'll get back to you about gas in a minute.)
Now back to the fence.
"The fence might not be practical"
You mean to tell me that we can afford to protect the borders of S. Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and help build a fence in Israel(and we are paying for that wall they're building there) and we can't afford to secure our own border?
Do you know how much it is costing CA taxpayers to allow illegals to stay here?
Jeff; I firmly agree with you. Tonight on NBC's Nightly News, they showed illegal aliens meeting in hordes at specific locations in Herndon, VA. to gain jobs "paid under the table." The government needs to now become serious about cracking down on this form of practice otherwise illegal immigration will NEVER end. Also, however did that many illegals get all the way to Virgina???
Your response indicates to me that Jim Gilchrist might oppose the Iraq War. Well, we absolutely cannot put a fence aound our borders and then live inside it away from the rest of the world like we are in a bird cage. We must go abroad militarily to protect our best interests and national security.
Illegal immigration is a priority as well.
Thank you Kokojmudd!
Have you hugged your illegal today?
For the third time, on the third thread, why are you on FR representing yourself as a candidate for Congress in the CA-48 special election when your name is not one of the 17 names that are qualified for the ballot?
I'd probably vote for you if I still lived in Cali, even though you were a skimmer puke *grin*
Okay, obviously this is a rhetorical question that you already know the answer to.
If Mr. Gilchrist's position on the war on terror, specifically operations in Iraq, differ from yours please state what you know and post relevant links for verification.
