Jim Gilchrist Stance On Iraq War?
(Enter Link Here) Congress: J. Scott Davis vs. Jim Gilchrist ^ | 26 AUGUST 2005 | J. Scott Davis

Posted on 08/26/2005 4:21:59 PM PDT by jscottdavis_for_48th_district

"Minuteman" Jim Gilchrist is my prospective opponent for California's 48th District U.S. House Rep. special election. Does anyone know what his stance is on the Iraq War? I for one firmly support the President and our operations in Iraq. What is Gilchrist's position on the war?

Thank you, J. Scott Davis

NO, Clinton should have been impeached for committing perjury in the Monica Llewinsky scandal!

In the military, superiors are prohibited from sleeping with subordinates. The President is Commander-in-Chief of the military. Why the double-standard? Clinton should have been impeached for his affair with Monica Llewinsky.

That is the problem with liberalism while keeping in mind that Clinton (and Hilary) are liberals. Thats why I'm trying to expose the fact that Jim Gilchrist is a liberal.

That is why I'm exploiting the fact the Jim Gilchrist has liberal viewpoints in opposing the Iraqi invasion.

Fortunately, most Americans are more concerned at this point in history with a quite different invasion: The invasion of the United States.

Your misrepresentations of Jim Gilchrist's views are beneath contempt.

And your misrepresentation of yourself as a candidate, when you aren't, is laughable.

"Thats why I'm trying to expose the fact that Jim Gilchrist is a liberal."

Using your same logic, we could also say you are liberal because you repeat the leftist mantra "it's a woman's right to choose" with regard to abortion.

Bush's guest worker plan?

This is home of the free where you experience the American Dream. I'm not opposed to people coming to America through proper channels and enhancing their lives. In addition, we can then keep better track of where our visitors are.

Jim Gilchrist is making a proper stand in alerting America to the costs and dangers of illegal immigration. But I wish to also point out that he has liberal views in opposing the Iraqi invasion. He is running for the American Independence Party which is liberal and anti-war.

For the third time, on the third thread, why are you on FR representing yourself as a candidate for Congress in the CA-48 special election when your name is not one of the 17 names that are qualified for the ballot?

Now that's interesting. You mean J Scott Davis isn't even on the ballot?

We can expect the OBL hacks to try to smear Gilchrist, and starting rumors at FR about his "oppostion to Iraq" is certainly one way they would do it.

Global warning? Either way it's not my bag. Couldn't care less if they went to Alaska or didn't

Yes, I'm firm on my political philosophy and believe that I speak for the mainstream right.

There's a closer connection between the America-hating Aztlan crowd and you.

Opposing the Iraq war does not make you a liberal. I believe in fighting terror but this war was ill conceived. If we wanted to attack terror camps how about Saudi Arabia. We could also impose democracy on them. I oppose the war but on 95% of the issues I am a staunch conservative.

" I support our troops wholeheartedly. I just don't agree with the reasons they were sent to Iraq. "

You can't support our troops while opposing the war. You can't support our troops while calling their Commander in Chief a traitor. You can't support our troops while deny that they are fighting and dying to protect Americans from terrorists.

Apparently Cindy speaks for you too.

Yes, I'm firm on my political philosophy and believe that I speak for the mainstream right.

Wrong.

You speak for yourself, and there are huge gaps in your understanding of conservatism.

You don't even understand the God-given unalienable right to live; the most fundamental conservative principle of all.

And you don't actually have a campaign.

You're a fraud.

I believe that I speak for the mainstream right regarding abortion. We wish to avoid it, but as a last resort, we should allow the medical professionals and patient discuss the issue privately. I don't believe that to be a leftist concept. I don't like abortion.

Jim Gilchrist's American Independence Party is traditionally anti-war which is liberal. I have until September 20 to file for this election and as far as I know, no official list of candidates has been presented to the public from the Secretary of State's office. Note how they acknowledge the fact that I'm a force in this election.

Doc; Attacking our allies terror camps in Saudi Arabia is not logical. We need allies in the Middle East. For example, if there are terror camps in the U.K., we would expect the Brits to handle it. Same situation in Saudi Arabia, we should expect the Saudis the handle it.

Iraqi invasion not well planned? Ahhhhhhhh, we've only been sitting on ready for 13 years after Saddam Hussein attacked Kuwait.

Reagan would have never supported CFR, a leftist attack of free speech.

You are correct in that I believe, he would have threatened a veto and had enough GOP support to prevent an override.

You're either a liar or ignorant. It was completed at the beginning of the week.

Note how they acknowledge the fact that I'm a force in this election.

Delusional, too.

"My point was that the war in Iraq should have no affect on voting for a local Congressman to protect the border."

That has to be one of the most wacky things I've ever read on FR.

A congressman isn't a local official. The most important job of a Congressman is to represent his constituents in matters of national security, especially in authorizing the President to send American troops into combat.

I can't possibly image any loyal American voting for a candidate whose party opposes a war in which American men and women are fighting and dying to protect us from an enemy who attacked us and has vowed to destroy us.

Cindy obviously speaks for you.

So basically safe, legal, and rare? Where have I heard that before?
