Being tattooed or pierced does not necessarily imply that anyone is trying to push any boundary at work. That said, if the person removes the piercing(s) and can cover the tattoos with clothes at work, where is the problem?

I've often wondered just how many visibly tattoo'd/pierced employees Mr. Lewis of Progressive Insurance has hired, or Soros, or any of the other big-buck Lib/Dem donors.
mr. soros hires plenty, they are responsible for escorting cindy sheehan all over the country.

"It only hurts if the prospective employer thinks or knows its a gang tatoo."
Not just gang tatoos. Here in the midwest, at least, jailbirds just love to get the crude india ink tatoos, especially on their hands, knuckles and forearms. These are not the colorful tatoos you are used to seeing but the crude, faded, blue tatoos. They are often just initials or a cross or something. Any employer knows that tatoos like this are a sure sign that the person you are dealing with has done some time.

I have a hard time not laughing at men wearing ear rings. The people who have those little doodads in their tongues just crack me up, no matter what. What's next a bone in their nose or bells on their toes?

"We want young people to avoid gangs. And we know that if they're not tattooed with gang tattoos, they're more likely to be employable," Bush said. Wow! Whatever we're paying her, she's worth every penny!
As an employer of young people, I never would have thought to consider the correlation. Thanks, Laura! Great job picking the USSC nominee, too.

We get that you don't like the Bush family, and that you think you are smarter than Laura.
Apparently, hoever, you are not smart enough to know that her comments were directed to young people, not their prospective employers.
