In the early days of the WWW, this actually happened a few times. It worked too!.., for awhile.

That was SaveKaryn.com She got all of her debt paid off, plus more. She got a lot of TV time and a world-wide book tour out of it, too. Not bad for a broke loser. I admire her moxey. Wish I had thought of it first. I would've gladly put up with Freeper derision on my way to the bank. ;)

But, I still wouldn't take her financial advice, LOL! She appears to have morphed into some sort of Debt Guru, now. *Rolleyes*

They have "LAZY" written all over them.

Lazy?! Do you have any idea how industrious you would have to be to open 300 million envelopes?

They aren't lazy... they're parasites who can't think of any way to add to the capital of this country so they'd rather profit from the table scraps of their betters.

On the contrary, the guy may be a genius! If you visit the wesite, you'll notice people advertising/ slandering others by placing contributions in the name of the ones they seem to hate, to depict them as an idiot. And for a buck, advertisement space on a seemingly popular website is a steal!

It's a great way to find out how many idiots there are in the USA.

That's what we have the Neilsen ratings for.

No, that's why we have elections and an Al Gore or a John Kerry are almost elected to the highest office in the land!

"Rob Momary"

There oughta be a law against trying to Rob Mammary like that. This guy is 26, he's old enough for solid food. Time to quit trying to milk the public and go get a real job.

They'll probably call it "wire fraud", if they include a mailing address, it'll go as "mail fraud", but they will find a way to get them. These guys have'nt thought up something that hasn't been tried before

"There's $300 million waiting for me in Nigeria"

It will arrive too, but to actually receive it (it comes as an attachment) you MUST turn off your virus protection, because that money is FILTHY.

Just don't lose it all down the drain when you launder it, like I did....

AFAIK asking for money is not a crime. So the guys are Richard Heads, there are certainly plenty of those around. Do you see something here that I am missing? I just can't see anything here that any law enforcement agency would care about.

I sent them $10. One dollar for me and nine dollars for some of the jerks who won't bother to pony up their dollar.

Good that you are alert. The world needs more lerts.

On the other hand, I pity the poor ignorant Milquetoasts who don't know any butter and churn up being skimmed by cheesy Internet scams.

Why should they pay taxes? Since they are not doing anything in return for the money, it is not earned income. It's a gift. And as you know, there is no gift tax on gifts under $11,000.....PER GIVER.

Well I guess it's better than the crooks who are asking for about $7,000 from all 300,000,000 people in the country. Oops, I meant to say demanding rather than asking for.

No fraud here. They're not promising anything. They're simply asking for a buck. As far as I know, asking people if they will give you some money is entirely legal.

When I was a kid, I heard about someone who placed an ad in the paper saying, "Hurry! Last chance! Send in your dollar now!" with a post office box. Thousands of idiots sent in dollars. Since the ad hadn't promised anything in return for the dollars, it was all legal.

Oh great that's going to throw my stupid people count out of whack. I failed to account for really stupid people. LOL
