Falwell: Anyone but Hillary
CHARLESTON, W.Va., April 7 (UPI) -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell told a group of West Virginia Baptists his main goal for 2008 is to prevent Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., from becoming president.
Falwell addressed the annual West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists, the Charleston Gazette reported. An audience of about 500 was gathered in the Cross Lanes Baptist Church.
Falwell had good words for President George W. Bush and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. McCain called Falwell an "agent of intolerance" in 2000, but is scheduled to be the commencement speaker this year at Falwell's Liberty University.
Falwell did not say who he would like to be elected president in 2008. He said it is too early to endorse anyone.
"We've been working very feverishly now to make sure that Hillary doesn't go in in '08," he said.
Falwell said the United States is clearly in trouble.
Are you serious? Before we could battle the Soviets in the Cold War, it was imperative to stop Hitler. Good grief.
So much for the Big Tent, huh?
Thankfully, the movement survives in spite of bigots like yourself.
Why then don't you tell this to those doofus republicans that allow this pathetic liberalism to continue to flourish because they sit on their a$$es & allow this inept commie agenda to flourish. They are the problem, They are co-conspiritors in this destruction of America. They are owned by the elites. They set up the rules to where a 3rd party can't gain traction. They lip service all of you & give you the same crapola. Again I say for 6 yrs plus, GW will NEVER get a true conservative Supreme Court because his puppetiers won't allow such. Now put this in your saved items as many I have replied to here & I guarantee it won't happen. Does Harriet Meirs strike a note. You are being played for the fools you are to continue to vote these doofuses back in & you continue to get this type of government. Guarantee we will have an amesty program --thanks to your good ole republicans which 80% of US don't want. So go for it next election. Enjoy your freedoms being dumped by the fools you voted for. At least don't give this cartel the satisfation that they fooled you because you voted for them.
Amnesty in 2006 = Hillary as President in 2008.
Mark my words. Millions of conservatives will be sitting on their hands and staying home if our Republican Congress and Bush push through amnesty.
Not to mention the scores of newly-legalized "voters" (most of whom I guarantee won't be voting Republican.) I saw the pictures of those protesters in Phoenix and Los Angeles... those aren't future Republican voters, for sure.
Do you mean the Mclame train?
If so, I'll take the bus. McLame stabbed Prez GWB (and the GOP) in the back too many times in the past five years for me to ever trust him.
I truly see McLame as a Capt. Queeg type who would go boizy-quackers ballistic if, as President, the public or Congress failed to recognize his superior genius.
Just take a gander at McLame's gung-ho support of illegal immigration amnesty proposal.
Look at McLame's multiple hookups with Hillary on various legislation.
The sad part about it is that I truly believe McLame was (is) doing these back stabbing things just to make President Bush look bad, not because he has any allegiance to principals one way or the other.
Take a look at McLame's eyes when he doesn't get his way. They go all gooogly with rage. It's almost scary.
No, I'll make it clear again. Get aboard the anti-Hillary train. The danger she poses if she wins the presidency is horrific.

"Better to lose big and give everyone a dose of reality."
The ones who get your "dose of reality" are the American people when they wake up election morning and find that Al Quaida, Iran, all the Euro-crap Socialist are rejoicing with Hillary and her HINO.
I will vote against Hillary. Period. Any Republican will get my vote.
In time of war and a National Security ongoing threat it is far too dangerous to allow the country to fall into the hands of the Arkansas Grifters or anyone else who can be bought by the highest bidder.
Yes. With Hillary, it's not just that her "positions" are disagreeable, it's that she's utterly corrupt. so her "positions" don't matter. I don't think she has even a prayer of winning the democrat nomination. I really think she will scare many independents and even Republicans into crossing lines and voting in the democrat primaries in states that allow it.
"Better to lose big and give everyone a dose of reality."
More like, "...better to lose big than to deceive oneself into thinking you've gotten something you didn't get, should have known you weren't getting, and even voted for him again thinking he was going to give you what you didn't get the first four years."
Would that everyone would just stay awake this time around when pulling the lever...
THIS train, is free to leave the station without me. Blackbird.
Well, I don't agree with his "anyone but.." position, yet I still defend his right to make the statement anywhere he pleases.
That surprises me that you would say that only because do we want dems to have free reign to say whatever they want anywhere they want. Right now, it is close, but at least we stop it somewhat.
The thing that worries me is that if the Beast is running, she and her minions are most likely working very hard behind the scenes to "manufacture" votes.
Why ever would we not want them to? What about the First Amendment? The most important speech to protect in this form of government is political speech.
That said, lies should be exposed (more speech) and slander should be prosecuted. And Big Media should be widely criticized for being so dishonest and partisan (praise Democrats, attack Republicans). If they want to be partisan they should have to follow the ridiculous rules all the other political organizations have to follow. Maybe then they would finally understand why campaign finance laws should be repealed. They are the champions of the "speech for me but not for thee" ethic.
Our system of government only works if everyone has the same political speech rights. Special rights for newspaper owners is not how it's supposed to work.
Or Renegade McCain :)
I refuse to believe that our choice is going to be McCain. He's the choice of the MSM because they know he's a sure loser to Hillary, but he doesn't have to be the Republicans' choice. The MSM doesn't vote in Republican primaries, the base does. That's us. NO WAY McCain gets the nomination.
