As I said at the GOE rally, the Iraq Veterans Against The War are out to smear this generation of military as "babykillers" the way their mentors the Vietnam Veterans Against the War did during the Vietnam era. Once again, our country needs Winter Soldiers. Don't let the Vietnam Veterans Against the War call TWO generations of vets "babykillers".
But I never expected that they'd give away their intent by calling it "Winter Soldier" just like their mentors.
Winter Soldier was a series of 109 interviews that were turned into a book and film. According to B.G. Burkett's investigation of Winter Soldier in his book Stolen Valor, many were phony soldiers that never served, others like VVAW leader Al Hubbard served but not in Vietnam, John Kerry served in Vietnam but not in Cambodia during Christmas under orders from Nixon as claimed and others served in Vietnam but had their stories refuted by others.
The Iraq Veterans Against the War ARE the NeoJohns, the Kerry Wannabes and they were mentored by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, in particular VVAW leaders David Cline and Bill Perry.
There's the direct links to their the web pages at the bottom of this excerpt: In 1971, over one hundred members of Vietnam Veterans Against the War
gathered in Detroit to share their stories with America. Atrocities
like the My Lai massacre had ignited popular opposition to the war,
but political and military leaders insisted that such crimes were
isolated exceptions. The members of VVAW knew differently.
Over three days in January, these soldiers testified on the systematic
brutality they had seen visited upon the people of Vietnam. They
called it the Winter Soldier investigation, after Thomas Paine's
famous admonishing of the "summer soldier" who shirks his duty
during difficult times. In a time of war and lies, the veterans who
gathered in Detroit knew it was their duty to tell the truth.
Over thirty years later, we find ourselves faced with a new war. But
the lies are the same. Once again, American troops are sinking into
increasingly bloody occupations. Once again, war crimes in places
like Haditha, Fallujah, and Abu Ghraib have turned the public
against the war. Once again, politicians and generals are blaming
"a few bad apples" instead of examining the military policies that
have destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan.
In March of 2008, Iraq Veterans Against the War will gather in our
nation's capital to break the silence and hold our leaders
accountable for these wars. We hope you'll join us, because yours
is a story that every American needs to hear.

On the weekend of 13-15 March, 2008, Iraq Veterans Against the War will

Afghanistan, as well as Iraqi and Afghan survivors. They will
provide first hand accounts of their experiences and reveal the

Contact every veteran you know, especially Vietnam vets, and help put a stop to their plans to smear this generation by exposing IVAW as the VVAW's Junior Varsity.
Winter Phony Soldier II.
Exposing the IVAW winter soldiers has been one of my quests... here’s some of the stuff I’ve dug up on them. Feel free to use it any way you see fit.

...AND I'LL BE THERE STANDING BY YOUR SIDE, DOC!
Could very well be Jane Fonda again. When she came out of retirement to lead the anti-war march in January, she and Bill Perry of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (now hiding his dirt as a "Veteran For Peace") reminisced about the good old days of "Winter Soldier".
He's the puke that put a large 5-6 inch VVAW pin on her coat collar. Note that NOBODY in the Drive By Media reported that insult to the veterans to whom she apologized.
Once a Traitor Bitch, always a Traitor Bitch.
Elvis Kokesh’s ruck is filled with his press clipings.
Don't let the IVAW tell you that Jesse MacBeth wasn't IVAW. Their staffer Braxton was able to provide his DD-214 to investigative reporters. So how'd they have that on file to begin with? Plus he's in photos marching holding the IVAW banner. Why did he get the front row publicity from IVAW?
Because he was spewing the "war criminal" line the IVAW is selling.
The VVAW bastards are the midwives for the IVAW. Old long time VVAW pukes like David Cline and Bill Perry took cover at the Veterans For Peace. The IVAW founders were VFP pukes and hung with the VVAW pukes. The formation of the IVAW was announced at the VFP convention.

in the "salad days" of the VVAW, they had LESS than 2% of the membership who had ACTUALLY served in the military. the rest were poseurs, liars, leftists, fools, etc.

Thanks Star.......and a bump
in 1971, when i returned from OCONUS, i was approached by a "VVAW veteran", who insisted that i talk to him, as a "fellow veteran of the First Cav".
he went "slinking away" - (fyi, he SAID that he had "forgotten stuff like that")- when i pointed out that he couldn't give me his MOS & what his "job title" was/meant = for example an 11B20 is a "straight-leg infantryman", who was either a CPL or a SPEC4.
every REAL soldier KNOWS his MOS & NEVER forgets it - not in one year or 100 years!! - for example i was FIRST a 1560 (1560 is ONE of about 10 MOS's that i have qualified for over the 28+ years of total service in USA/ARNGUS/USAR. when i "hung up my badge & gun i was a 31D35.)

as an example, until his UNtimely death in the '90s, i was "best friends with" former 1LT Joseph O. March, late of Merrill's Maurauders of WWII CBI fame. the NEAREST i ever heard Joe come to bragging about his (HEROIC & HEAVILY decorated) exploits was he said "we went through the 18th Jap army like - - - - through a goose,. not many of those boys survived our "especial" care."
fyi, that's HOW i "just knew" that "Hanoi John" was a FRAUD, a COWARD or BOTH, long before he was "Swift-Boated" by the REAL heroes.
You’re right about not forgretting your MOS. I don’t remember my serial number of my weapon’s serial number but I sure do remember my MOS.
You’re also right about war stories. My Uncle flew some interesting missions in WWII doesn’t talk about them. His entire crew that he went over with made it back; says it was pure luck.
fwiw, i was even actually ISSUED a "ma duece" for "my very own" & wore a "headspace guage" on my dogtag chain for YEARS afterward. (i must tell you/admit that "old breed cav troopers" are NUTS!)
furthermore, i'd bet that i could "reel off" ALL of my MOS that i was awarded over the years, if i HAD to. (fwiw, i was a GI before, during & after the OLD system "went out" & the NEW MOS system "came in", so i had a BUNCH of different ones = the army kept changing the numbering system. soldiers of the 60s/70s/80s will KNOW what i mean.)
THANK YOU for YOUR service to this free republic.

Abortionists ARE the true baby-killers.
My brother served twice in Vietnam and came home a broken man, alcoholic, on drugs. I have nothing but respect and true love for the Vietnam War vets. Thank you so much for serving our country then.I just wish our country had served you better.
lots of us came home in "bits & pieces" (hardly anyone "came home, whole".), therefore we "old soldiers" MUST assure that what was done to "our brothers" of the VN-era NEVER, EVER happens again to ANY veteran in the future.

He died a couple of years ago from the effects of years of alcoholism. I hope he found the peace he never had on earth. Thanks.
