Bob Beckel says Bombshell is heading Michele Obama's way. (Vanity)
Fox & FRiends ^ | 05/03/08 | mware

Posted on 06/03/2008 5:02:24 AM PDT by mware

If any of you had the opportunity to watch Fox & FRiends this morning, you probably saw Bob Beckel being interviewed about todays political events.

Towards the end of the interview he announced to the Fox & FRiends hosts that he has been told by numerous people,(enough and in a way that convinced him) that a bombshell will be dropping tomorrow about Michele Obama.

The Friends turned white and asked what it might be...was it worse than a college thesis? Bob said—Oh yes, in a BIG way. He said that the Repubs were behind it and it was dumb because it meant that Mrs. Clinton would be the nominee.

So the die is cast, IMHO Hillary will suspend her campaign within the next 24 hours and then the bomb will drop, leaving the Republics to take the blame.

Beckel said that this will make Hillary the candidate. Whatever is on that tape (if it is a tape)it must be a beaut.

Beckle is a big Obama supporter per a blog/article by a Fox guest who said she gets her best scoops in green rooms.

Per this author, when the Rev Wright story broke, Beckle was beside himself with anger saying that the stupid Obama people didn’t vet him enough and now Hillary will get the nomination. Then he existed the room slamming the door.

I don’t remeber the source but I’m sure some of you do.

Nobody think's she's saying "whitey." But obviously you're having trouble wrapping your arms around the notion that THEY think it's incredibly damaging, or the Obama camp wouldn't be trying to cover this up.

Not necessarily.

The Republicans could have a tape which is marginally damning of Michelle but do not want to release it because it is subject to interpretation. Then the Democrats talk about the tape to build up great expectations, so when the tape is finally released and fails to live up to the hype, the Republicans look bad and the flap over Michelle's comments are largely ignored.

The Clintons did this continuously while in office.

Checking the Blogs I frequent...find this at the Strata Sphere:

Here Comes The Michelle Tape - Right After The Last Primaries - Updated!

**********************EXCERPT************************

ublished by AJStrata at 7:29 am under 2008 Elections, All General Discussions, Michelle Obama "Whitey" Video

Major Update: While the ‘rumors’ of the tape were hinted at this morning on talk radio, nothing major was discussed as far as I could tell (I only get to listen to small bits, if at all).  But one bit of critical information was let out by Jed Babbit (spelling?) this morning as he sat in for Laura Ingraham:  it turns out the tape does not have Louis Farrakhan and Michelle Obama, it has Mrs. Farrakhan and Michelle. This revelation tells me (again) that the media has the tape and are working with someone to time its release, still expected for tomorrow sometime.

As I predicted below and yesterday it seems Clinton will not end her campaign, but simply suspend it tonight, with the tape coming out (coincidentally) tomorrow before a wave of Super Delegate pronouncements hit the news.  As I noted below I find the collusion with the media (left or right) on determining the timing of this news to be totally improper and manipulation of our democratic process. - end update

Democrat political heavyweight Bob Beckel said this morning on FNC that a ‘big shoe’ was about to drop on Michelle Obama (H/T to Doug Ross for the news and the link):

“shoe will drop on OBAMA regarding Michelle, tomorrow” Bob Beckel on FNC @ 6:23AM ET

He said he is hearing this from people he knows are credible. He thinks it is stupid of Repubs re timing.

He said it is a MAJOR SHOE. Was asked if it was worse than her thesis. He said much worse.

He also reported that all of Hillary’s advance people were told to wrap it up in their states and return to HQ.

Now this could just be CLINTON COVERING HER TRACKS on the MAJOR SHOE!!

If this is accurate (it is an email report blasted through the blogosphere from someone very reliable) then we should see or hear more news on the subject throughout the day.  The timing is everything here.  The voters are locked out of the nomination process after today.   Now is the best time to kill off Obama’s chances so that there is the summer to let things cool off and hope the Democrat base is more afraid of McCain and the GOP than mad at Clinton (not likely) and reform behind Clinton.

Plausible deniability, as I explained yesterday, would be Clinton signaling the ’suspension’ of her campaign (not the ‘end’) and waiting to step into take over as Obama falls.    The tape comes out and Obama starts to sink, so she can claim innocence since she had ’suspended’ her campaign.  Even Beckel notes how bad the timing is if it is the GOP holding the shoe, but it is not bad for Clinton of course.

I agree regarding Bonnie and Clyde...we already know their tricks and are always one step ahead of them. There is nothing new they can try. Obama Inc., on the other hand, scares me to death.

And we need to know if Barak was in the audience when Michelle made the “Whitey” screed.

He’s got someone/something behind him pulling his strings.

That's my thought too. The older I get, the less of a conspiratorialist I get. However, his popping onto the stage with such excellent campaign management has made me think there's more backing this man than meets the eye. The other thing that has bothered me is that he has developed his career as though he knew that he would be running for president. Most politicians would like to do that but don't necessarily operate as though that was so much a certainty. I'm troubled by the lack of a trail of his voting record as though he were carefully planning every move with the advice and counsel of someone who knows politics very well and has been steering him through the minefield of politics to get him to the prize of the White House without giving the people and the press the ability to scrutinize who he is.

How in the wide, wide world of sports are they going to blame the Repubs?!

Just by saying they did it. The Drive-By Media will do the rest and the Republicans will cower and whimper.

If the Rep had such a bombshell to drop why would they waste it on getting the candidate they can most easily beat out of the race in favor of one they would have more difficulty with?

The stupid party strikes again?

I'm inclined to think that this won't be the Big Deal that Beckel thinks it is. I wonder how much of this is based on the idea of "White Guilt," elevating "Whitey" to the N-word status.

Native Americans have been referring to the White Man for ages. African Americans refer to Whitey. Latinos refer to Gringo (not quite Whitey).

To me, this is no more than Ted Kennedy trying to turn a John Roberts memo comment mentioning "amigo" as a racist remark. This might be trumped up by the MSM the way they used Macaca to drive George Allen out of the Virginia Senate race, or not.

Since you don’t what’s on it, or how it would be used, why jump to conclusions? You’re doing what you accuse others of doing. I’m just saying, based on the DEM response already, it’s pretty big.
