Don’t know how bad this tape may really be but I have trouble imagining he’ll just fold without at least a big effort to re-frame the discussion again.
It may be hopeless for him if this tape is really so explosive, I don’t know, but he sure won’t go down without trying everything in his power to move past it.
p.s. “white folks’ greed runs a world in need” — since Obama is already in print and on tape saying that, without it ending his campaign, this tape of Michelle will have to be really juicy to end his campaign.
I don't know what's on the tape and neither do you---all we know is that the Dem snakes are already hissing, so there is LIKELY something to it.
Where did I ever say I had any inkling of what was on the tape? I only provided a possible hypothetical alternate strategy for why Democrats are talking up the tape.
Since this entire thread is nothing more than pure speculation, I think I have the right to add my pure speculation to the mix.
You should probably stop drinking at Obama’s trough sometime before the general election rolls around. Defend him enough, and you might get confused about your priorities. “Why did he” is not the controversial portion of the tape, and the only people trying to angle it that way are the die-hard Obama supporters at DU. The incriminating remarks come before that, where she specifically says “the white man” is to blame. I suppose there’s an alternate translation for that as well?
Only one problem with this prognostication. Beckel is a moron.
We now have Bob Bekel and Mark Penn acknowledging the tape's existence? If true, that tells me even more so that it's the Clinton camp behind this. Not that the GOP doesn't have it, but the timing sure looks like the Clintons.
If it is indeed true that the liberal blogospher is taking this seriously, and perhaps has transcripts if not actual video, then the assertion that it is the GOP behind this becomes even thinner, IMO.

Fox pulled the link a few hours ago. Why really isn’t that relevant. The conversation between Bekel and the Fox & Friends hosts happened and was seen by many here as well as others.
What’s interesting me more is the dichotomy between Bekel remarking the GOP is involved, and other liberals such as Mark Penn and lib bloggers being involved in the discussion of its existence. Everyone talking about it is from the left. I’ve yet to see anything from the GOP side (except for a reference to Roger Stone). Thus, Bekel’s remark seems even more to be a smokescreen for what’s really going on.
There is enough about Obama's political views on which to go after him, without making things up.
It harmomizes beautifully if one thinks of it as HER effort to make a play on words.
