Dear Friends And Far-Flung Family,
What a year of “hope and change” it has been.
Just one year ago we had a president whose approval rating was below 50 percent, health care reform was politically unpopular and it looked like the war in Afghanistan would go on forever.
Just look how far we’ve come!
Sasha and Malia love living in the White House. It’s even better now that they have their new friend in the White House, too. He’s cute, he’s dopey, he’s always making messes for us to clean up, but what can you say? He’s the vice president, and we love him.
The girls are enjoying school at Sidwell Friends. Barack told everyone we seriously looked at the local public schools (In D.C.? Ho, ho, ho), but Sidwell is delightful. No wonder those voucher kids were so mad when the teachers’ unions made Barack throw them out. But we sent them a nice “Hooked on Phonics” set for the holidays, so all is well.
And me? My life really hasn’t changed much. I’m still the Chicago girl who likes nothing more than to curl up by the fire and read. But with our hectic schedule I don’t have much time, so I only read magazines that have me or my husband on the cover - and I’m still swamped!
But as much as possible, I try to lead the life of a “regular” American working woman, wife and mother. I make sure my staff of 24 gets the kids off to school, that our chef is preparing healthy meals and when we’re running low on certified organic kale, I hop in an armored limo, send out a few snipers and drive two blocks to the farmer’s market.
Just another day in the life, right girls?

TIME Magazine reported earlier today that Barack Obama is the first President—EVER—not to attend church on Christmas Day. Think about that for a minute.
I’m not surprised in the least.
It’s so confusing cause the dog is named Bo.
Is this a satire or a real letter? Hard to tell.
With pictures of Mao and himself on the Christmas balls hanging from the White House Christmas tree you can’t say you’re surprised can you?

Did they check the local mosque? Christmas falls on Friday this year so you may catch him at a service on a prayer rug, this year anyway.

Didn’t I read somewhere once that Bambi, in an interview, said that his family does not exchange gifts at Christmas. Muzzie is as muzzie does!
Several people have commented to me lately that there is someone who comes ahead of the Anti Christ that makes it possible for the Anti Christ to take over after the mess that that someone makes...kind of makes one wonder if BO is working for the AC.
I think Michelle is the AC.
