PING, THE CONTEST GOES UP ONE MORE NOTCH
State law allows birth certificates to be issued to family members, legal guard- ians, representatives of a person’s estate, or by court order or other legal purposes.
Okubo said those who have been requesting Obama’s birth certificate don’t meet the legal standards.
OMG.
One day, we will be vindicated. You and I both know he’s hiding something.
No matter what IT is, it will show him for the lying sack he is.
Hmmm...on second thought, this is a dangerous game they are playing.
I wonder if someone who is found to be a “Vexatious Requester” of “Obama’s BC” could have standing to view the BC.
The only REAL way to tell if it’s a frivolous request is to look at the BC.
Could be that the requester is a hero.=)
This whole bill requires the agency or OIP to make judgments about WHY a person is requesting access. This is a complete reversal of what the OIP has always said - that the person’s reason for making a request is not a basis for denying anything. Quite frankly, it is nobody in the agency’s business why a record is requested.
The purpose of UIPA is to keep the government honest, and if the government is able to get rid of requestors they view as snoopy about the wrong things, the whole purpose of UIPA is undermined.
Unbelievable that in the current climate where we’ve got total lack of government accountability and the people at boiling point with anger about that.... Hawaii moves to punish “vexatious requestors”. More of Obama’s type of “government transparency”, I guess...
Has anybody been able to actually log in and post at the Honolulu Advertiser article site? That was really bizarre how the e-mail came and immediately disappeared from my whole computer.
