The dems don’t know what pain is. Just wait until the American people get through with them, then they’ll know.

Very true, that is why it has to be killed in the House.

Brown said that if Republicans try to offer amendments and use parliamentary maneuvers to grind out the legislative process, Democrats would retaliate with all-night sessions and other methods of fighting back.

What are you, eight?

(I'm asking Brown, not you Free ThinkerNY.)

Bring it on. I doubt that Robert Byrd can stand many all night sessions without shuffling off the mortal coil.

“...Democrats would retaliate with all-night sessions and other methods of fighting back.”

Childish. Petty. Vindictive. Bratty. Does anyone really think those old farts in the Democrat party really want to spend all night working? Bring it on. Why not have a pillow-fight on the House floor while you’re at it. Maybe they can have a boxer & panty raid too. It’s hell-week at the Capitol.

Look at the ages of some of the Democrats that will have to stay there all the time waiting for a vote:

Are you sure they have to stay there?

The Republicans can call for the end of debate and for a voice count at anytime, as long as there is a quorum. If the catch the Democrats with their pants down, they can get a vote that they want.

This article is a perfect picture about what is wrong with our country today.

Our Senators and Representatives were elected by us to do our will. They have completely thrown this concept under the bus.

nobama, arrogant SOB, dictates to our representatives what they should do. Sorry your Narsistic Highness, but

  1. They work for us not you.

  2. You don't control the formation of legislation, they do.
I pray the day soon comes when we can turn this around.

If I understand correctly, all the Dems need is 41 votes to stop a vote, and then they could call in the rest of the Dems. It’s possible they could pull it off if Dems didn’t even have 41 on the floor though. Does that sound right?

Since BO has vowed transparency, I guess this will probably be on CNN so that must mean I should plan on sitting up all night??

Yeah, pretty much. But there will be more pain for the Democrats than the Republicans if they try that route.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.
