When Department of Justice attorneys traveled to investigate a voter intimidation allegation against a black politician in Mississippi's Noxubee County in 2006, one civil rights staff attorney commented, "Can you believe we're going to Mississippi to protect white voters?"
To Christopher Coates, the former head of the Department of Justice's voting rights section, the comment was more than just an attempt at irony â it was evidence that something was going wrong in the department.

This is where impeachment might come from. By giving his own allies advance carte blanche to violate the Voting Rights Act and various civil rights acts Obama has made himself an accessory before the fact to all the crimes those people commit on his behalf. I's just like a cop agreeing to be someplace else while a bank gets robbed.

Frankly I think Yaki needs to go down too. He’s been running his mouth all over the internet bashing Coates and republicans.

Yep, a bombshell and I am looking forward to the prosecutions once we recover the House.
How big is the bombshell? Do you understand “glass parking lot”.
Remember, November is Coming.

The whole article seems to “poo-poo” the notion that the DOJ has done anything wrong - or that white voters even have - or deserve - protection under the law???

Refusal to faithfully enforce the laws of the land is legitimate cause for impeachment.

What the heck is a “glass parking lot”?
But back to the thread...one of the big losers in this is going to be the MSM...who have ignored or soft peddled this story for over a year...if/when the GOP takes the House and starts an investigation, the media will have to cover it.
Gonna lead to some uncomfortable questions for the big liberal newspapers and tv networks to answer.

“Selective Justice” in the Obama Administration. Racism only goes in one direction with this crowd.

Read the comments below the article especially since it’s Yahoo news, of which many young folks read. People aren’t buying what Obama is selling.

I’d love to see this bunch skewered by the very laws they fought so diligently to get passed.

>>”You can try to force [the Voting Rights Act] to be equal, but it’s not,” he says. “If these are the worst examples you can find, then, by God, white people in America are pretty safe.”
I love this part because they can’t find anything, other than baseless allegations, that blacks are disenfranchised or prevented from voting at all. So, if this is truly the worst example, then white people are pretty safe, but are still a lot more threatened than blacks!
So, you either deal with this as documented case of a civil rights violation, or you admit that this problem is offically solved and close down the department.

Well, this would be one count. You need more than one for the first black president. Darrell Issa will be working on that come January.
You also need his poll numbers down under 30. Hussein is working on that himself and he should be there by this coming summer.

I think this use of "glass parking lot" refers to the aftermath of a nuclear blast, turning sand into glass. At least, that's the way I took it.
When this case blows, it may be "nuclear" in proportion, metaphorically speaking.

When you set off a large nuclear device the sand fuses into glass.

Come from what? I have no idea what this is all about, don't really care. Can we please get back to discussing Colbert's appearance and testimony?

The problem is that this wasn’t the only evidence Coates presented. He spoke of other cases being shut down in the same manner including arson.
He also pointed to entrenched beaurocrats who have been there since the Clinton administration who are ideologically and politically motivated. He also said there was an increase in prosecutions during the Bush administration.
