Big talk - those guys are so cheap, there ain’t no way they will pay to stay away. The only way they would do it is if one of the unions was paying their expenses. If that comes out, they are politically dead. Ain’t no way they would be able to charge off their “travel” to the State of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Freepers/Tea Party people need to find out what it takes to have an elective office legally determined to be abandoned, and then when the conditions are met by those legislators, get it done - and put someone on the ballot for a special election.

I seem to remember they did this in TX a while ago also.

Wouldn’t this be a good time to bring up things that don’t require a quorum? There must be some stuff that this is a good time for. There are no dems to vote against it.

We should be so lucky...

OK Gov, let the layoffs begin.

Your mandate is to cut spending to balance the budget.

About 5000 teachers should be just about right.

No problem, the Wisconsin legislature is empowered with the ability to compel attendance and issue warrants for their arrest. As for the teachers, if I were the governor I would tell them that if they missed work on Monday and did not have a doctor’s note or valid excuse, they would be fired for conducting an illegal strike and would lose all their benefits.

New elections should be called if those people are not willing to serve. The people have spoken and the free system of government we have must be enforced. These people are renegades and this must not be allowed to stand.

Surely there is SOMETHING that can be passed without a super-majority present? and if so, start passing stuff left and right while these bozo's are away.

That’s clear dereliction of duty.

The governor therefore should fire them all and hold new elections in those districts.

Until the elections the remaining republican legislators should be deemed a quorem and then pass the bill.

If these people want to play hardball, then the governor and the remaining republican legislators should play hardball back. Those are the consequences. The dems made that bed and now let them lie in it.

They need to fire all of them and put all jobs up for hire. you will have hundreds of thousands flooding the state begging for those jobs.

OMG. There has never been a better time to get people to sign democrat recall petitions while the union protests are raging. Go especially to the public school parents and those in high property tax districts!

Also... who is there to object?

In the interest of time I ask for unamimous content to wave the quorum requirements.... hearing no objections the motion passes!

done.

They need on representitive Dem, so one pubbie holds his nose and changes his party to Dem. Then the government business moves on.
