The 3/5 quorum isn’t simply a Senate rule. The WI Senate cannot wave a mandatory quorum that is required by the WI Constitution.

That's what I thought, too. I'm sure that other amenities are also being paid for.
Republicans should document this and prepare bribary charges per the Wisconsis Constitution.
Republicans can use the law to play hardball, too, if they have the nerve to do so.

Republicans should begin an investigation into who is paying for an extended stay of "days or weeks" of AWOL Democrats. Who paid for the bus that transported the AWOL Democrats. If it is determined that the AWOL Democrats were recipients of illegal franks or passes, then it can be deemed a bribe and charges filed with the violation being punished by the seat being declared vacant. Then let the Democrats deal with bribery charges and the possible loss of their seats as a result of their fleeing.IMO, this is the key.

How about the Governor orders the state treasurer/comptroller to suspend payments of salary and other payments until the fugitive Senators finally return to their jobs. They will not be paid for the days they are AWOL. Also, if any of the AWOL Senators use state credit cards to purchase any goods and services, these amounts will NOT be reimbursed to them.
Now, if these Donkey Senators accepted illegal contributions from 3rd parties of transportation, food, lodging or other reimbursements for going AWOL, they are guilty of bribery and conspiracy. The Senators who participated should be prosecuted, convicted, and sent to prison.
