After a dizzying day that saw members of her inner circle threaten to pull Sarah Palin's participation in a rally Saturday in Indianola, Iowa, a source close to Palin confirmed to RCP that the former Alaska governor will in fact attend the Tea Party of America event, as scheduled.
"We had some long discussions with the organizers; we talked about our concerns and worked them out, and they stepped up their game today," the Palin source said.
Two sources close to the former vice presidential candidate had told RCP earlier Wednesday that Palins involvement in the rally was on hold, due to concerns over how the hosts were handling what has been billed as a major event.
The primary concern of the governor is the people that are coming to this event, one source had said. The planners are an issue thats gotten in the way.
The organizers caused a stir over the last couple of days when they first announced that former U.S. Senate candidate Christine ODonnell had accepted their invitation to speak at the event before Palin. They then disinvited ODonnell before re-inviting her to do so.
After Palins associates made it known that Palin was reconsidering her participation, the organizers once again disinvited ODonnell.
An ODonnell aide told RCP that the former GOP candidate for senator in Delaware had texted Palin to ask about the rapidly developing situation but had not received a response.
While it is clear that ODonnells proposed speaking slot was not acceptable to Palins camp, the Palin aide denied that anyone on the Palin team had explicitly demanded that ODonnell be removed from the speakers list.
Palins concern arose, the aide said, when an ODonnell aide suggested to event organizers that Palin wanted the Delawarean to share the stage with her.

Did not now that. If true, then my suspicion that other players had a hand in it, is less of an assumption.
Thanks.

What I gather is that he supports her but ‘knows’ Palin ain’t running (and is saying so publicly, on the radio - grrr) so he’s now looking at Perry. I hope that’s the real story and this is an unintentional snafu.
Now Perry is Rove's boy? Don't think so. Rove never hung out the Republican Governors meetings with Palin and Walker and Perry and Kasich. Whole different level of ballgame. Almost a coup to strengthen the power of the states over the feds.
bttt
Like anyone will remember this! This is so minor.

No, we aren’t. You should know me better by now. This dude, crow, is second rate and he has a big mouth which he hssn’t bothered to keep shut...and he should have.
I love Frepers. We are everywhere when you least expect us.
You got it. A new story is now breaking, and this time they are just outright lying about the organizer Ken. I suppose they see him now as a weak link and are going to just see what they can get to take legs. The media makes me sick. Thank Goid we have FR and other ways to counter them.
Yeah I saw that. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but my cynical nature might win this one.
FREEPERS RULE
Please explain what the lie is. Everything, at least what I posted, are words right out of the man’s own mouth. Including how they scheduled CO.
I just hate the "sources" game. Names people, names!
I've said on other threads about the same subject...Crow is a Palin supporter shooting his mouth off.
What's being made up is that Crow is a Perry supporter trying to sabotage Palin. That's a made up rumor with no basis in fact. And since it's his event, it makes no sense.
I’d be willing to bet that one of the new stipulations going forward was that this sh!t kicking cowboy was gonna keep his flipping mouth shut from here out.
Rove is 10000% Romney backer, and he hates Rick Perry now.
That wasn’t always the case, but that is the way its been for several years.
I missed something...Who is this O’Donnell?
Because Christine O’Donnell is a nut.
JMHO, the amount of time the last couple of days that Crow’s been running off at the mouth and causing gross confusion makes the “innocent” label REAL doubtful.
In any case, somebody needs to sit down with (or ON, if necessary) Crow and tell him to tie a knot in it. He’s turning into a liability, and not just for Palin.
Great insight. Bloody likely you’re right.
This refusal to share the stage was rather snobbish on Palin’s part after O’Donnell had ridden all that distance on her broom.
