Re-posting this from another thread: If you have a Facebook page please “like” any online article honestly covering Benghazi and depicting Obama as an outright liar and make a personal comment describing the seriousness of the issue. Perhaps the social media can somehow make this story go “viral” and prompt better coverage from the MSM. This story should completely disqualify Obama from having a 2nd term (as if we needed more data for that contention).

This isn't necessarily correct. Current designators generate coordinates to be passed along to air support. If they were asking for air support there isn't any reason they wouldn't generate a list of coordinates they wanted serviced immediately when air support arrived.

Additionally, there was a Predator overhead. They could have been passing coordinates to the Predator crew for them to start working ROE/PID prior to armed air assets arriving. I'm guessing the ROE for this situation would be extremely restrictive.

If this were from a normal conservative site I’d say bogus. But Blackfive is the real goods. They have the experience and the contacts with those who have even more experience. When you think about it logically it makes all the sense in the world. There’s no reason to light up a target if there’s no system at hand to take it out. If these ragheads were smart, and the way they used the mortar says they were, they’d know that the Tallies in ‘stan track lasers and infrareds using cell phone cameras, and I’d guess that Woods knew that too and wouldn’t be exposing himself for no reason or waiting for help two hours out.

We don't know fer shure what armed assets were available over Benghazi that night.

We don't know fer shure if anyone was 'painting' anyone with laser designators.

I'm uncomfortable when the story gets way out in advance of the facts we know and have nailed down.

I’m missing something. How do we know that either Woods or Doherty were painting a target with a GLD? That’s something that leaves no mark, obviously, so what makes anyone say this happened? Did the overhead drone record the light of the laser?

Earlier I posted that there was a C-130 in the air at the embassy. I was challenged on the issue and had to back off because I believed I read a post addressing a C-130 over another location at another time, and confused the issue.

It seemed reasoned that we would have an air asset in the area if the were lasing targets.

Now I’m wondering. Am I going to be proven right?
