Ted Cruz Dies Politically With "New York Values" Rants. (Vanity)

Posted on 04/08/2016 7:24:26 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Ted Cruz has shot himself in the foot big time with his ill thought out ranting about hating New Yorkers. It's the same kind of rant that someone would make about "Red Necks" in any southern state, ill advised and unacceptable. The Cruz verbage is proof that Cruz will do or say anything true or untrue to gain power and control. He is really not-too-bright-in-th brain-department. He is far from Presidential material!!!

For goodness sake....the fool, Ted Cruz, has no clue as to how he is being used by the GOP Establishment for "their" purposes, not his. Does anyone really think & believe that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, John McCain, Lindsey Graham could support Ted Cruz in a POTUS run?....no way!!!

This hateful uttering of condemning an entire state and all its citizens will cause Cruz to lose massively in New York State....but, worse, it will cause the loss of the entire Northeast, including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, etc. Cruz should have engaged his brain, before opening his hateful mouth.

Support & vote for Donald j. Trump!!! GO DONALD TRUMP!!!

That’s a good point. Some people on both of the major sides are so simpleminded as to think that there are red states and blue states. The battle lines aren’t by state. They’re not even by county, and not even by neighborhood.

The divisions are door-to-door.

That’s assuming Trump is an R, which he’s not.

No, not at all. Trump can pull in a lot of D's around here. Hillary is not as popular in these parts as you're led to believe.

It looks like NY has 11 million voters and only 5.5 million are democrat.

Probably why republicans win the governorship and the mayor’s job every now and then.

As long as we have free speech...and I am not using foul language...I intend to post until DJT wins the GOP POTUS nomination. I guess, you have never heard of free speech...or, maybe you think it is just for you, and not the rest of us...if we disagee with you. SAD!!!

And Trump may be mathematically eliminated by California. Will you call for him to drop out then? Cruz is staying in because he has a shot based on rule 40. Kaisich does not.

Oh, and BTW I spent 7 years in upstate NY. Many people there hate "NY values" and the fact that downstate runs the government.

Oh, no! You mean there’s a chance that NY won’t vote Republican this year?

I think Ted should allocate resources meant for NY on California and other states. OTOH, I'm glad he's making an appearance or two in NY, to show that he can take the arrows being tossed at him.

The antipathy between the "former center of the universe" (New York) and the Lone Star State has existed for decades.

At what point did I indicate you have no free speech? I’ll wait . . .

Don’t waste your time trying to change my mind and I won’t waste my time trying to convince you.

I'm not trying to change your mind. Just pointing out that with Trump as the nominee a whole bunch of states in the NE come into play that no other R candidate could put in play.

And, BTW, my goal is to prevent Hitlery from occupying the White House. I don't believe that the GOPe will ever let Mr. Cruz be the nominee. Even if they did, I don't believe he has a chance to win the general.

Lyin Cruz can’t win, ZERO chance. Fools are busy destroying Trump, so that Hillary can just walk to WH.

The Governor of New York, is not the Republican/Conservative people of New York

Nope, but the Republican/Conservative people of New York have been living under the nightmare rule of progressive/liberals for a long time, so I'm going to say they know exactly what Cruz was saying.

If he shot himself in the foot with Republicans, (not the liberals Cruz was talking about).......then New York will send him packing.

I can live with that.......

New York is, and has been for some time, the quintessential “blue” state, if only because the City of New York has such a preponderance of weight in the state. Back in 1963 Barry Goldwater suggested that taking a saw and cutting the five boroughs off entirely from the mainland, and letting it float out to sea, may be a good hypothetical to follow up on.

Almost all of New York City is based on islands anyway. Only The Bronx is attached to the mainland, while the major part of the city of the city is on Long Island.

He wasn’t ranting against New Yorkers. He was talking about the type of New York values as represented by DT.

sometimes a candidate has to hyoid back. There are 20 million people in the NYC area and some of them actually vote. Now he can write it all off as democrats, but tree must be 20 or 30 republicans there.

New Yorkers suck.

Well, a whole hell of a lot of them do, anyway.

“Here is a clue, Cruz doesn’t need to win NY. And if your Trumpking doesn’t get to 50% a contested contention is almost a certainty (one in which Trump will lose to Cruz on the 2nd or 3rd ballot).”

What I fail to understand is why Cruzers think the delegates will band together and nominate a second place candidate with less electability than the first place candidate. If Trump were far right-wing and Cruz was more moderate and could draw more votes - I can see it, but the situation is the reverse.

So what, exactly, would make the delegates go for Cruz? His charming personality? And don’t give me those BS “Cruz will beat Hillary and Trump can’t!” polls - they’re all put out there by the press who WANTS Cruz to be the nominee precisely because they know he will never, ever beat Clinton.

Say what you will. Puddy was a cool dude. He knew his way around a car. And a Clarkman garbage disposer. I’d hire him in a minute.

“...one in which Trump will lose to Cruz on the 2nd or 3rd ballot)”

I prefer Trump, but if Cruz wins I won’t freak as I would should they install Ryan/Jeb/Mitt. Trump and Cruz have skin in the game so they deserve it and no one else (Kasich is persona non grata, imo).
