Let's Examine The Ramifications If Obama Pardons Hillary and/or the Clinton Foundatation
Self | January 14, 2017 | Stayfree

We all know that Hillary has violated numerous federal statutes in her email operation and we also know that the Clintons have used the Clinton Foundation (and possibility other Clinton family foundations)in "pay for play" activities whereby shady characters, foreign governments, etc. have contributed millions of dollars in return for favors...the Clintons have amassed billions of dollars in graft and corruption.

It is highly likely that the Clintons and their foundation will receive a pardon from Obama once they agree upon a price for the bribe.

This is a straight-up question. As much as I would like to see Hillary in an orange pantsuit, I think Obama will pardon her sometime next week.
She will pay for it, upfront and in the months to come. The Clinton foundation assets will be frozen by the following week.

Per confidential witness, the bribe was actually 250 mil.

But there is still state prosecution for the Clinton Foundation, which has an office in Arkansas.

I don’t remember her being charged with anything (though she should be). No charges, no pardon.

Nixon was pardoned without either impeachment or criminal charges. Hmm, I wonder how history will remember Hillary Milhous Clinton...

For criminal purposes, Hillary will get a pardon. For political purposes Hillary will not be pardoned.

Think those seem contradictory? Watch it happen. She is a Clinton and so will simultaneously be pardoned and not pardoned, depending on who is asking.

It will be the Republicans fault, too.

By 2020 “crime and corruption for sale” will be old news and long forgotten.

If so, Obambi will be forever tainted by the stench of the pardon. He’ll be regarded as nothing more than a corrupt partisan hack to most voters and will further destroy the Donkey party.

No charges, no pardon.

Actually, a president can issue a preemptive pardon that would cover any crimes that Clinton might have committed against the United States.

http://www.nytimes.com/1988/01/05/opinion/l-constitution-allows-pardons-before-conviction-590688.html

The leading Supreme Court case is Ex parte Garland (1867). Justice Stephen J. Field, writing for the Court in a 5-4 decision, held that the President's pardoning power is ''unlimited,'' and ''It extends to every offense known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment.''

They are only closing down the Clinton Global Initiative. It is only one of the offshoots of the Clinton Foundation Groups and it was announced that it would close last year.

The D party can be destroyed only by halting redistribution of wealth from producers to non producers. I don’t see that happening.

Do you not have to be convicted before pardoned?

No. Richard Nixon’s pardon is the precedent.

No you don’t , but she’s never admitted to a crime so how can you pardon someone who has not committed a crime?

There is a larger context to this issue that is being overlooked.

Obama’s goal has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. His overarching motivation is and always has been the destruction of America.

He will pardon or not pardon based on what his handlers determine will cause the most turmoil in America. I think that would be to NOT pardon Hillary. He can appear to be above the fray. The investigation and prosecution of Hillary will split us apart, increase the division and polarization.

He will be able to claim he is clean of scandal and keep the spotlight on the Clintons and not his phony Biography.

A win...win.

______

You are spot on.....not to pardon her will be the most effective way to let her sit as a human time-release chaos capsule......

Trump would then be left with a decision to prosecute.....thus keeping this current nightmare alive

I think that Trump will let it drop, just so that we can all get on with a brighter future.

Eventually, I believe that HRC’s karma will unfold with a just resolution to her heinous crimes

Actually, not to pardon her would be the best thing of all.....like an Edgar Allen Poe story, she will have to wake up every day and wonder what will come at her next....she could never gain any peace or any rest.

So if we assume the Hill gets a pardon, then it seems that Bill would be left holding the bag, and since he was impeached, it is not possible to pardon both of them.

If I was a betting man, I would put my money on “no pardon”

a great time to be alive!

Another reason Obama won’t pardon Hillary: He can’t effing stand her! The Obamas detest the Clintons. They do a good job playing nice for public consumption, but they really don’t like each other.
