They ignored the fact the Putin was only in Syria, because his ally, Iran wanted him to be. Russia was not fighting ISIS, they were only protecting a warm water port and Iran's interest. Yes, Russia is a close ally to Iran. They side with Muslim extremists, and they weren't rescuing and Christians in the Middle East. That was a complete fabrication.
No, we shouldn't bomb Russia, but we should realize they are our enemy and against everything the U.S. stands for.

By the way, many Freepers said Russia would attack Turkey, over the shot down plane, and called me an idiot for saying it would never happen. Turkey is Russia’s ally and a huge trading partner, especially when it comes to oil. Russia never attacked Turkey, and they are once again close. I don’t remember those Russophile Freepers ever coming back and saying I was right.

All due respect, but I don't recall it being to the extent of glorifying. Recognizing desirable behaviors by a rival or even an enemy is simply being truthful (assuming that the behavior is not just staged).
And there are damned few reasons for the U.S. and Russia to fight one another. They have their sphere of influence, we have ours; there's a little overlap which, frankly, we should get out of. Let Europe look out for itself this time.
