Calling me “paranoid,” “isolated,” and “miserable” is your idea of “mirth and neighborly criticism”? LOL. Your rather SJW assessment of me as “withdrawn into a kind of cocooned existence, resisting communication or contact with anyone you perceive to be different from your fixed perception of what’s ‘normal’” could not possibly be further from the mark—and it sounds almost exactly like what I’ve heard progressives say about Trump supporters, by the way. I’d bet good money that I’ve interacted more in meaningful ways with people from all backgrounds and all different points of the political spectrum than the vast majority of Freepers (or Americans in general for that matter).

It’s rather clear that you either didn’t bother reading my post or just aren’t willing to consider any of my actual arguments and personal experiences vs. the one’s you’ve imagined I’ve made. And by the way, I never opposed “slamming the door on my own kind” (with the one exception of those contemptuous of the “rubes” around them and their “backward” ways). You haven’t explained how the various people I’ve listed in my example (if you read that far) are “my own kind” or even actually “conservative.”

Of course, there’s Southern hospitality, but did it ever occur to you that maybe Texans are especially welcoming of you because you (according to what you’ve said) fit in and share their values—the sort of things I’ve advocated for? I have to wonder why you even left California since demographic shifts and major changes in the culture and values of a place apparently make no difference to you. Only miserable, isolated people oppose change regardless of the consequences after all. And you will have neighbors who will “sharply differ from you politically and culturally” wherever you are anyway. So obviously, if you are intellectually consistent, you must not have had any actual problems with California. Interesting.

But no hard feelings. Your “diagnoses” of me have been hilarious. So thanks for the entertainment at any rate. Cheers.

Give it up, friend. You started this silliness by posting a snooty reply, where you dumped on other conservatives for “forcing” themselves on your oh-so-pure, holier than thou self.

You could have just re-read your post and admitted how snobbish you sounded, but no. You just have to be right about it, despite having insulted thousands of decent people you don’t even know.

Like I said. You’ve got a perfect right to be a jerk, but quit trying to beat me into accepting your weird viewpoint.

Bye.
