Well, why doesn’t the HOUSE and SENATE do something about it? Their INACTION speak louder than words.
benefiting 6 million??? I thought it was 20 million?? Are they admitting it was a flop?
Psst: Hey, you six million who are affected, join one of the co-ops which excludes a lot of the junk in ObamaCare and is hundreds of dollars cheaper each month.
Iowa and Nebraska are not.
1. Obama violated a federal judges order in 2015 and illegally ordered the US Treasury to pay the subsidies to insurance companies.
2. The ACA (Obamacare) specifically said Congress had sole authority to pay insurance company subsidies.
3. Trump is not only following the Constitution as the federal judge ordered, he’s following the letter of the Obamacare statute.
4. We still have Medicaid. The “poor” have access to health insurance and health care.
5. Trump gave Congress 60 days to vote on the subsidies.
THIS IS 100% FAKE NEWS.
Well, then, you Ass Press clowns should celebrate. This will be the death knell for Trump. You should hold a parade praising Trump for this move.
Shouldn't that be an even greater reason for Congress to fix the problem like they promised.? (Or they can explain to their voters why they didn't fix the problem in November 2018.)
Jobs...good jobs.... upward mobility. That is the best healthcare plan anywhere.
Which reminds me, I have always had an issue with Politicians than use the phrase “Vote in your self interest”.
I have always Voted in our Nation’s self interest, which means Voting for more Freedom, not less.
Promoting Self Interest within the Electorate means nothing more than enabling the Government to use the tyranny of the majority to steal the assets of one Citizen and gift them to another for the bargain basement price of their Vote.
According to an analysis by The Associated Press.
More fun with numbers by the MSM.
Well, good! I'd hate to see commie scum de-shafted from the effects of the thing they wanted, and wanted to shaft US with. Relief from Ebolascare should, to the degree practical, go to only good, normal people.
I live in Florida.
Trump’s decision doesn’t impact me at all.
Obamacare plans with all their expansive bells and whistles have always been out of my sustainable financial reach.
People like me need low-cost hospitalization only plans.
I would most prefer that hospitals offer Medicare level pricing for a modest annual fee. That would be something that doesn’t require DC-based action.
“70 percent of those benefiting from the so-called cost-sharing subsidies live in states Trump won last November”
And probably the vast majority those standing to benefit voted for Clinton.
Red states have blue voters too.
“Thompson, who spoke with reporters on a call organized by a health care advocacy group, said she expects to pay 30 percent to 50 percent more per year for her monthly premium, potentially more than her mortgage payment.”
How could she have possibly calculated how much insurers would have to raise premiums on those getting a regular policy to cover those getting the cost-sharing subsidies? She would have to know the number of people currently getting these subsidies and the premiums they pay, plus the number of people with regular policies and the premiums they pay, along with how much the insurance company pays out in medical care to calculate the premium increase for next year.
Even if she had all that data at her fingertips, she would still not pay more than 10% of her income in premiums. She must have a very small mortgage or a large income to claim her premium will exceed her mortgage.
