They want an outright ban. They’re pushing that because they think we’ll give in.

President Trump is treading on thin ice. This has NOTHING to do with gun control and all to do with failure of an inept school district, law enforcement and a 19 year old man in high school that wanted to kill people.

Raising the age is asinine and flies in the face of our men and women who serve who are under the age of 21 and are well trained in the use of firearms. You might as well raise the age requirement to purchase gasoline, hatchets, knives and hammers. If someone whack job wants to kill they will kill.

That is true. Men and women are graduating from their basic military training at the age of 18. Most of their domestic enemies wanting to violate their Second Amendment rights are older women from the northeast and near the west coast. My guess is that the problem might be related to some form of feminist [unit] envy.

The part in the following about age was not fake news. It appears to have been a Yankee slip due to lack of assimilation after only two or three generations: a kind of New-York-itis. Maybe we’ll see it corrected. I’m patient enough for that. President Trump has done greatly so far aside from this one possibly temporary misstep.

Here is the problem with the "mental health" angle to "gun control.

Just who is to say who is "mentally ill"?

Obama and his criminal administration (and House and Senate Democrats) said that heroic war veterans who sought counseling for PTSD were "mentally ill" and should be denied their Constitutional rights.

Who are we to rely on? "Mental Health Experts"? What a joke. These same "experts" tell us that a 5 year old boy who is being coached by his sick parents into "becoming a girl" are all mentally "healthy."

Social Security recipients who needed financial help managing their affairs had their gun rights taken away.

Is a man who took anti anxiety medication for a time now "mentally ill"? What about someone who suffers from insomnia? What about someone who is a recovering alcoholic, but has been sober for 20 years?

The slippery slope here is gargantuan.

I voted for President Trump and I agree with him more than 90% of the time but he is not a conservative in the true sense. He has come to our side late in his life. A few years ago he was anti gun and anti NRA and was doing all he could for liberal democrats. I accept him at his word that he has genuinely had a change of heart but with that I realize he might be tempted to fall back to his past beliefs!!!
