One of the major buzzwords in corporatespeak over the last few decades has been "diversity".
My response to that has always been "The Balkans have diversity; fat lot of good it did them".
Those few of us left that studied REAL history, see the all-too-frightening parallels.
I speak as a Roman history buff; this is a very good summary.
Excellent article. I think there are many examples in current America for these. Unfortunately I don’t think we have a public willing to go to war over freedom because failing to correct these issues is what it will take to get it back.
Long time ago I studied under an expert in societal destruction. We were always looking at tribal cultures and the like. I never thought back then I would be looking at my own country for those exact danger signals.
Diversity is a sign of weakness, IMO. Whereas the concept of a melting pot is a sign of strength. A new ingredient loses its identity within the one mixture - like a rope in which the many strands wound together is strong. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link.
Antique history was my favorite subject in school. Especially Greek and Roman
Thanks for posting this. Excellent essay.
“We don’t have a melting pot, we have a pressure cooker.” -Paul Harvey.
In the years before the fall, the morals of its citizens, especially among the leaders, had sunk to a low level, especially in regard to their sexuality. It has been reported homosexuality ran rampant.
We survived the Great Depression because most Americans knew how to farm and were self-sufficient. This was before the changing face of America, when we were all still on the same page. We are a mish-mosh of diverse peoples, under a million banners and we have more internal enemies than we know what to do with. The National IQ is plummeting. The next crises that comes along will find us folding faster than Superman on laundry day.
There are a number of studies that show that diversity is bad for a society. The more diverse, the less successful a society is economically and socially.
So to those who worship diversity, my question is: Tell me what it is that you think diversity brings that is worth the economic and social damage.

I love these analogies, but the bottom line is: it's all nonsense.
Sorry.
The Western Roman Empire did not fall for any of the reasons listed: not because their leaders were corrupt, not because their elites were decadent, not because their masses were indolent & dependent on government largess, and not even because their diverse ethnicities didn't assimilate.
How can I possibly know this for sure?
Because all of that existed for centuries before the Western Empire fell, and the empire always eventually recovered from any weakness or disaster.
So, what was it then?
Simple: the cost of maintaining enough legions on the frontiers to protect against barbarian invasions was more than the Western Empire alone could afford.
That's because the real wealth of the empire was in the East -- Egypt and Constantinople especially.
When the West was cut-off from the East's wealth, it slowly withered, became economically brittle and eventually bankrupt.
Is there a parallel with us today?
Oh, you betcha! Bigly!
The US was key to achieving WWII's Unconditional Surrender over Axis powers because we were then the world's economic power-house.
Today, not so much.
So, why do you suppose our President is working to restore the economic base on which our own military might depends?
Because he knows that, regardless of whatever other sins we are guilty of, just like the ancient Romans, the one sin for which there is never forgiveness is: weakness, economic or military.
You disagree?
Very nice..! Thanks for that...
The left does not believe in assimilation, or the Melting Pot theory. They are interested in dividing and conquering America.
Great post thanks.

Not to mention, a lot of medical documents I receive in the mail, have a full back page of instructions, front and back, in 25-30 DIFFERENT languages.
Great, and scary, article BTW.
