The "Open Question" On Vaccines and Autism
CBS News ^ | May 12, 2008 | Sharyl Attkisson

Posted on 04/22/2018 7:17:20 AM PDT by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Perhaps the most puzzling thing about autism and ADD is that more than a decade into this public health crisis, our best, smartest government scientists and public health officials still say they have no idea what's causing it. Scary stuff, when parents having a child today realize there's at least an estimated 1 in 150 chance their child will have an autism disorder (1 in 90 if it's a boy).

While the government has been utterly unable to stop it, or even tell us what is causing it, they say they do know one thing: it's not vaccines. But today, in an exclusive interview with CBS News, Dr. Bernadine Healy becomes the most well-known medical voice yet to counter the government on that claim.

Healy's credentials couldn't be more "mainstream." After all, she once was a top government health official as head of the National Institutes of Health. She founded the first school of public health in Ohio, and then headed both the school of public health and the school of medicine at Ohio State University. She's an internist and cardiologist. And she's a member of the Institute of Medicine, the government advisory board that tried to put the vaccine-autism controversy to rest in 2004 by saying a link was not likely.

According to Healy, when she began researching autism and vaccines she found credible published, peer-reviewed scientific studies that support the idea of an association. That seemed to counter what many of her colleagues had been saying for years. She dug a little deeper and was surprised to find that the government has not embarked upon some of the most basic research that could help answer the question of a link.

The more she dug, she says, the more she came to believe the government and medical establishment were intentionally avoiding the question because they were afraid of the answer.

Why? Healy says some in the government make the mistake of treating vaccines as an all-or-nothing proposition. The argument goes something like this: everybody gets vaccinated at the same time with the same vaccines or nobody will get vaccinated and long-gone deadly diseases will re-emerge. (When I asked about cases of brain damage resulting in autism that have been quietly compensated by the government in vaccine court over the years, one government official recently told me that "it's still better overall to get vaccinated than not to get vaccinated.")

Healy says the argument need not be framed in those terms (vaccinate or don't vaccinate). Instead, she says, we should vaccinate, but work to do it in the safest manner possible based on what we know and what we can find out.

That's what the parents of autistic children have told me as well. If we can screen children to see which ones might be more susceptible to vaccine side effects, and vaccinate them on a more personalized schedule that is safer for them, why wouldn't we? If it's safer for all children to have their vaccinations spread out, why wouldn't we? Healy says it's called "personalized medicine" and is being done in virtually all areas of medicine today with the exception of vaccines. Yet the government continues to frame the conversation in all-or-nothing, "one-size-fits-all" terms.

Lastly, Healy says the government has a long way to go to even do basic research that could get at the heart of what she believes is an open question. For example: why in the past decade hasn't the government compared the autism/ADD rate of unvaccinated children with that of vaccinated children? If the rate is the same, it tends to point away from vaccines. If the rate is markedly lower in unvaccinated children, it tends to point toward vaccines.

The government has a dataset of unvaccinated children available. It has published more than one survey of parents of undervaccinated and unvaccinated children (to find out why the parents are choosing not to vaccinate). It would seem simple to use those same families to measure their rate of autism/ADD. Also, why hasn't the government used vaccine court as a resource to ask the autism/vaccine question. There, nearly 5,000 families have self-selected as believing their children's autism was caused by vaccines. Many have expressed willingness to let their children's medical records be released and studied; but nobody in the government has been interested.

As if that's not scary enough, look down the road a little. Millions of autistic children will - in the not-too-distant future - outgrow their parents, or their parents will no longer be able to care for them. Their only option in many cases is institutionalization. Who, but a parent or family member, can and would devote the moment-by-moment attention it takes to raise an autistic child? Our nation has not, to my knowledge, begun to build these institutions, or figure out how to pay for them.

Back to the subject at hand. If the day comes that public health officials can finally tell us with reasonable certainty what is causing all the autism and ADD, and if the cause has nothing to do with vaccines, I think most people will just be relieved to know what it is and feel that we can, then, be closer to stopping it. Until then, in the minds of many, including Healy, it remains a sad, open question.

Who controls the citizen’s health care? The government or the citizen?

The answer is pretty simple.

Most people without adequate assets to handle and pay for their own medical needs, will grudgingly and knowingly accept government control over their medical needs. Unfortunately, most medical procedures and medicines are out of the reach of the common folk. The costs are way beyond what most people can afford, so, most people look for the easy way out, be that an employer provided healthcare plan, or the government-provided options.

Problem for most people is that, no matter what option they choose, the costs will still be outrageous. Obamacare made things much worse than they used to be, and employer-provided options are still swallowing a huge amount of people's paychecks.

There is no easy and clear answer to the question, and there are no easily affordable options for most people.

So, most people will go with whatever is the more affordable options, which are not so great and not so afforable.

I’m surprised anyone uses the term peer reviewed anymore after this been exposed for the fraud it is.

For all those people who think vaccines are the cause, why don’t an overwhelming majority of kids vaccinated not end up autistic. Also, why do sets of identical twins both have autism?

The sensory overload issues, failure of the kid to properly potty train, etc. Can happen even to a kid who puts their life into caring for the kid. It happens.

People engage pseudo science for comfort when they are bewildered and desperate. Sorry but there is absolutely no credible scientific evidence that vaccines cause autism. The problem is that if a woman receives TDAP or any other vaccine during pregnancy, has an autistic child, there is usually much more to the history. Somehow she fails to recall that she used marijuana regularly early in her 1st trimester before she “knew” she was pregnant.

Autopsy an autism head, you find lots of aluminum. The was recently reported.

Government agents make money off these kids. What you subsidize, you get more of.

Sharul doesn’t seem to be an actual anti-Vaxxer. She is merely saying to look for a link, and if one is found, personalize the vaccination schedule to make sure that sensitive children can handle them in “bite-size” pieces, as it were.

If you have an open mind, the data is rather easy to find. Help.yourself. As new pesticides were introduced in the 40s & 50s, Polio incidence was already dropping by the time the Salk vaccine began being instituted widely.

But that’s the easy part to wrap your head around...

Lol. The shrink who came up with ADD later admitted that it was bogus. This doesn’t stop the therapeutic state from putting millions of children on speed.

And why must children get vax injections??

I have not been vaxxed my entire life and I am healthier than you are.

Go stab a watermelon, and quit stabbing children, for good health that is.

My first thought to you can’t be politely written.

I spend time with people with varying types of brain damage. They all have structural damage to their brains and they all have similar traits like zero patience, low impulse control, obsessions with certain objects, perseveration on one thought or subject.

One was born with genetic differences. One has autism. And one has Alzheimer’s. My mother was a highly educated highly professional smart as anything WELL READ CONSERVATIVE. She now has Alzheimer’s, which everyone knows becomes literal structural brain damage. She has now many symptoms of the autism spectrum, which I know so well in my life professionally and personally. I feel I am proving every single day that the traits of autism you believe come from not being beaten and slapped enough are clearly structural failures in the brain itself.

Agree!!! 30 years ago we were just called nerds or some other derogatory term. I don't generally consider being on the spectrum a bad thing. Heck, I was a child prodigy probably in part because of it.

However, I have had a rough road when dealing with unethical but socially astute scum in the corporate world. I like to get stuff done and they just want to advance at all costs... take credit from me and push me out before it's discovered. There appears to be far more of those types now than there were in the past.

The fact is that Polio was on the decline before Salk came along
I don't see a pre-Salk decline at all.
The huge increase in the '50s was due to all the Baby-Boomers coming along.

It was. He’s right. Many of the worst childhood diseases were on the decline.

I was just reading about life in the poor parts of NYC in 1917 when polio was hitting. Every family seemed to be affected. Except those that got out of the town in the summer heat and stayed at the ocean. They noticed that those families didn’t lose a child to the virus.

Now if that isn’t proof that adequate vitamin d prevents the sequela of flaccid paralysis after the enterovirus, nothing is. We now know about vitamin d and should use thst knowledge, and our children won’t be affected by that ghastly symptom. Too bad our doctors don’t push therapeutic doses of vitamin d the way they do vaccines with neurological side effects. I wonder why? Aren’t FReepers trained by now to follow QUI BONO?

Article is 10 years old. Since then, the CDC HAS done intensive studies into vaccines and autism, and used non-vaccinated people for comparison. Results? No link. None. Zero. Zip. Nada.

Game over. Thanks for playing.

Prevalence of Contaminants
BY CELESTE MCGOVERN ON NOV 20, 2017 5:31:00 PM
Every Human Vaccine Tested Was Contaminated by Unsafe Levels of Metals and Debris Linked to Cancer and Autoimmune Disease, New Study Reports

Researchers examining 44 samples of 30 different vaccines found dangerous contaminants, including red blood cells in one vaccine and metal toxicants in every single sample tested – except in one animal vaccine.

Using extremely sensitive new technologies not used in vaccine manufacturing, Italian scientists reported they were “baffled” by their discoveries which included single particles and aggregates of organic debris including red cells of human or possibly animal origin and metals including lead, tungsten, gold, and chromium, that have been linked to autoimmune disease and leukemia.

In the study, published this week in the International Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination, the researchers led by Antonietta Gatti, of the National Council of Research of Italy and the Scientific Director of Nanodiagnostics, say their results “show the presence of micro- and nano-sized particulate matter composed of inorganic elements in vaccine samples” not declared in the products’ ingredients lists.

Lead particles were found in the cervical cancer vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, for example, and in the seasonal flu vaccine Aggripal manufactured by Novartis as well as in the Meningetec vaccine meant to protect against meningitis C.

Samples of an infant vaccine called Infarix Hexa (against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and haemophilus influenzae type B) manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline was found to contain stainless steel, tungsten and a gold-zinc aggregate.

Other metal contaminants included platinum, silver, bismuth, iron, and chromium. Chromium (alone or in alloy with iron and nickel) was identified in 25 of the human vaccines from Italy and France that were tested.

GSK’s Fluarix vaccine for children three years and older contained 11 metals and aggregates of metals. Similar aggregates to those identified in the vaccines have been shown to be prevalent in cases of leukemia, the researchers noted.

Many of the vaccines contained iron and iron alloys which, according to the researchers, “can corrode and the corrosion products exert a toxicity affecting the tissues”.

CMSRI_Corrosive Debris Meme_v1.pngThe researchers supply an image of an area in a drop of Sanofi Pasteur MSD’s Repevax (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio) vaccine “where the morphology of red cells - we cannot tell whether they are human or animal- is clearly visible” along with the presence of “debris” composed of aluminum, bromine, silicon, potassium and titanium.

The problem is official resistance to even looking for a link
Because that of course means there is doubt about the governments firm position that there is no link
Catch 22
Its settled science
Like manmade Climate change

Anyone who looks for links or casts doubt on the government - is a deluded uneducated fool
And a large segment of the population is conditioned to attack any challenge
