There will be a bunch of opining about libel laws protecting the woman, her lawyer and the scum Shaun King for spreading this lie. I’d contend that this officer was not a public figure and that the threshold to prove libel in that instance is much lower - 1). the information was defamatory 2). there was willful negligence on the part of the libelers.
Seems crystal clear to me on both counts.

I agree for a blatantly false allegation like this. If an allegation leads to trial and acquittal then I disagree. Assuming that it wasn’t a sham trial.
