First to answer the inevitable question as to why Peter Strzok is still employed by the FBI. Because Inspectors General, in this case Michael Horowitz, cannot "interview" former employees, only current ones, and the IG isn't done with Agent Strzok just yet.
Why doesn't Strzok just resign, as others have? Because he is negotiating with Horowitz/Huber (Sessions?) as to how long he may be in prison, and he still has information which, at least in the mind of Strzok, has more value than Horowitz/Huber esteem it to have.
What might this information be? Is it just not valuable? Unlikely but perhaps so.
Remember, Lisa Page was allowed to resign after giving up McCabe. Peter Strzok's value then, has nothing to do with McCabe. I seriously doubt Strzok has anything on Comey which exceeds that which McCabe could, and eventually will, provide. I don't think what Strzok knows and believes has great value has anything to do with Comey.
Then who?
Strzok reported to Priestap, but deliberately skipped over Priestap to report directly to Andrew McCabe. That would be the Andrew McCabe whose wife received over $500k from Hillary crony Terry McAuliffe to nearly completely fund her run for elective office in Virginia. I don't think it's a stretch to infer that HRC "requested" this payment in exchange for some very important favors to Hillary. It's how they roll.
Was Strzok directly told by McCabe that Hillary was running this op, or did he just figure it out? Insurance policy anyone?
From the IG report:
"We identified instances where FBI employees improperly received benefits from reporters, including tickets to sporting events, golfing outings, drinks and meals, and admittance to nonpublic social events,"
NON PUBLIC social events. Hmmmmmm..... Just when do reporters do non-public anything? When they are scheming/colluding with pols they favor for mutual benefit maybe?
It's my bet that Strzok was a favorite invitee to these non-public events. We already know that at least one FISA judge may have attended, again, is it a stretch that HRC, Inc. wouldn't have some presence at these klatches in order to steer the ruse that we all know occurred?
Isn't Strzok an FBI agent? An FBI agent into "insurance policies"? He thought he had his get-out-of-jail card, and now Horowitz/Huber (Sessions?) want nothing of it? Isn't it curious that DOJ and IG have no problem with their witness blabbering to Congress? It is clear they just want this booger off their finger.
So Strzok thinks he's scrzewed. He thinks by talking to the house committee they will intervene on his behalf. If the committee in general and Goodlatte in particular are not interested, then Strzok is really scrzewed, and so are we.
This is my attempt to answer the question as to why Peter Strzok would want to talk to the committee. It is born of my visceral distaste for HRC, and the knowledge that you seldom go wrong assuming the very worst about these people.
All of them.
How long, if ever, before we see orange jumpsuits for these outrageous felonies against the Constitution?
Beat me to it.
And you can bet that the press will give a gazillion times more coverage to what he says, than what they gave it IG Horowitz.
He DOESN’T want to talk to the House Committee. They’ve offered him several dates and time and scheduling options, but he has refused. Finally, they resorted to a subpoena which, if I understand correctly, was served yesterday.
He’s been saying he wants to testify; he lies.
Exactly. He thinks he can pull an Ollie North.
Bottomline: What is the worst crime he can be charged with and convicted of?
And what is the maximum sentence for that?
History: The sentences in Watergate were surprisingly short.
Participating in a coup d’tat is treason
Strzok is confident and not intimidated by what he thinks are politicians groping in the dark trying to piece it all together.
Don’t expect anything to come of this.
I strongly believe that Strzok is a cooperating witness and that he cut his deal with USA Huber many months ago. His texts are indefensibly incriminating, and he had no choice.
That is why AG Sessions assigned United States Attorney Huber to team up with DOJ IG Horowitz. There are two things USA Huber can do which IG Horowitz cannot:
1. Compel testimony of any person (in or out of DOJ) before a grand jury; and
2. Bring indictments for crimes.
According to news reports earlier this week, Strzok will testify before the committee without immunity. I think Strzok has already made his deal with USA Huber and betrayed his higher-ups to the grand jury.
Sedition. Death.
NEVAH!
Here the other thing. Does Strzok have something on some of the Rinos in leadership? Does he think he can pull the same type of crap that J Edgar Hoover did?
I do not trust Strzok to tell the truth
Even if he got immunity, he would not be immune from Arkancide.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.
He’s not fit to shine Ollie North’s shoes.
