I’ve heard of ‘The Revenant’ but haven’t seen it. I guess FX must show things regionally or something. I just checked and it’s showing ‘The Rose’ here. Hmph!

Hey, there, radu!

I had his “annoying HUGE self” all night but it wasn’t too bad. Took a melatonin so was able to sleep nearly all the way through the night. THAT doesn’t happen very often! Oh! We just got a rain. I hope it brings some more before the night is over. I’m greedy!

Hope your day was good. Still hot there or did it cool off some. It was almost 100 here. Blech!

Well darn the luck being stuck with Peaches last night. It sounds like you’ve figured out how to sleep regardless of his annoying lil self though. LOL!

YAY, you did get some rain! Hope you can get a bit more.

We got a little over an inch this morning while I slept. Cloud cover kept our temps in the low 80s today and the break from heat was welcome. It’ll be back tomorrow though. :-(

Very cool pieces of equipment. I have never seen a portable X-Ray machine. Wonder if they used one like it in “M*A*S*H”?

Aww. Hate to hear that the heat will be back after your most welcome rain! An inch is a nice amount!...and the cool-off is always a plus!

I just peeked outdoors and it's still raining softly. It could do that all night and I wouldn't complain one bit!

We got surprised by Surprise Lilies sometime during the week. They come up so fast, if you blink you miss the signs. LOL! Sorry it's so big, but it's the only way to really get the impact of the beauty of these blooms.

I'd never seen one either until this one. I didn't know they had them back in the "tubes" days.

They placed it with this display ....

What a great display that is! I hope that figure standing in the doorway is supposed to be a woman. Mighty prissy looking to be a male soldier. LOL!

Good to hear you’re still getting some rain. Gentle rains are good soakers. No run-off.

We have chances for more showers and storms this week and those will give us a little cooling. Maybe. Waiting for the forecast to come on the news now to find out how much chance we have each day. I was dealing with cat feeding during the evening news and couldn’t pay close attention.

OOOOOOO!!! Love the color of your lilies! We call them Magic Lilies and ours are very dark pink. It’s about time for ours to pop up and I’m looking forward to their splashes of color.

LOL! Yes, that’s a woman’s uniform on a female mannequin. It’s much more obvious when seen in person.

Good evening, radu...had to make a store run. I had my eye appointment yesterday. I need a tune-up on one of my cataract surgery eyes. When I had my surgery they told me that sometimes tune-ups are needed...simple procedure. In the meantime I need eye drops for the dry eye. They gave me a sample, but 4 times a day requires more than the tiny bottle they gave me.

Still have laundry to do, then I’m ready. Amina is doing ok...she sort of got thrown into the game, but is picking things up quickly.

I snapped a few shots of my little area of the museum. It's my Happy Place because I enjoy the work so much. Hey, I get up at 8 a.m. every Sat. to go up there and that's not something I normally will do. That's normally prime sleep time. LOL

This is where the cleaning up is done. That big black crate is what the uniforms were packed in when they were brought up from Tupelo. When I started this, they were piled up almost 3 feet above the top edge of the crate.

I'm so close to seeing the bottom of it at last. It's been a while since they've unpacked other crates with a few uniforms in them that they've put into the one I work out of. But when this one's finally empty, there are at least four more crates like that in the shop building. EEK!

Once the uniforms are cleaned up, they're bagged and hung on that rack in the background. When that gets full, I carry them upstairs where they wait for their turn to be put on display.

Oh boy, an eye tune-up. But yes, I’ve heard they sometimes have to do that. Dad had to have it done too. Have they set a date yet?

Glad to hear Amina is catching on. That was a bit of a mess to be thrown into cold like she was. LOL!

I have some smaller dark maroon ones that are called blood lilies, but they aren’t surprise/magic lilies. I have one hibiscus bush that bloomed beautiful huge maroon flowers, but it hasn’t bloomed for the past two years. Not sure why. The greenery comes up each year but it just doesn’t bloom. Sad...because they really are about 7” across.

I hope you get more rain showers so the weather will stay cooler for you. I’m sure y’all are tired of the heat AND the humidity that goes along with it. Do you have gardenias? I guess that’s my favorite scent and we can’t grow them here. Saw them everywhere in Georgia where we lived for 2 years and fell in love with them.

Really, really cool new displays!

One of my Dad’s ham radio set ups resembled that new radio.
