[Vanity]: Tennessee - who are you voting for in the Republican primary and why?
7/25/18 | Myself

Posted on 07/25/2018 4:04:45 PM PDT by Maceman

My girlfriend in Tennessee - a big Trump supporter -- wants some advice on who to vote for in the Tennessee Republican primary.

She is voting for Marsha Blackburn for Senator, but wants some input on the best candidate for governor, and for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Any constructive Freeper comments will be much appreciated.

I’m voting for Bill Lee after reading his platform and several endorsements. Also I’m tired of negative and personal attack ads by the others. Tell me why I should vote for you...not dirt (or made up dirt) about others. The Tennessean had some good info on all candidates.

*pinging the TN list*

The only candidate worth voting for for Governor is Diane Black.

The other candidates are RINO phonies. Fake Conservative Bill Lee has donated to every major Democrat running for office in Nashville (for Phil Bredesen, Karl “Marx” Dean and the creepy cemetery-sex pervert Megan Barry).

The establishment left wants La Raza Randy Boyd, who would be a Democrat anywhere else and is lying his ass off about his positions so much that you’d think his first name was “Conservative.” Democrat Dean wants Boyd to be his opponent most of all so he can spend his late Republican father-in-law’s money reminding Conservatives how left wing Boyd is and severely harm GOP turnout for both Governor and Senator and elect him and Bredesen.

I can’t answer whom to vote for in the primary for Congress without knowing which district she lives in.

Hubby and I voted for Blackburn and Lee. We called the Tea Party and they had good reasons for voting for Lee. We just like Blackburn; she has a good record.

Who is the “Tea Party” and how does one phone something that isn’t a person ? Bill Lee is a fake and phony who supports Democrats.

State Rep. Judd Matheny is the Conservative choice for TN-6.

Harwell, are you joking ? She’s neither a Conservative nor even a serious candidate. Diane Black is the only credible candidate.

Good grief! I’m so sorry I omitted the word, “OFFICE”. We called the Tea Party OFFICE. (Most people would figure it out.)

And they’re all fakes and phonies. All candidates’ ads were embarrassing — not much better than Dem ads. Anyhow, the question was asked about voting; I responded. Get over it.

There is no Tea Party “Office.” That is a movement, it is not an established party or figure/persons.

I’m sorry you don’t participate in the TN forum here, because if you had, you’d have known that Bill Lee is a 100% tin-plated phony and Democrat supporter. That he gave money to the execrable ex-Mayor of ours, Megan Barry (nevermind the two other leftist ex-Mayors now running for Governor and Senator) when we had a viable Republican nominee here in Nashville, which has not elected a GOP Mayor since Grover Cleveland was in his first term, is utterly appalling.

Thanks to your uninformed vote, madam, you’ve just increased the likelihood of leftist La Raza Randy Boyd getting the GOP nomination (because we have NO runoff).

My cousin worked for Diane Black as an intern. She’s a class act and conservative.

Don’t educate me about the Tea Party movement. I was an organizer of one of the first rallies in 2009 in Ventura, CA, where a few thousand people showed up.

In Roane County we’ve had an active Tea Party for a while. Believe it or not, some of the leaders have OFFICES and PHONE NUMBERS.

Again, the Tea Party is a movement, it is not a person or persons, and there are no elected leaders. Anyone calling themselves a “representative” of it or holding an “office” claiming to be is full of crap.

And if it was misused to anoint a frequent Democrat contributor in Bill Lee, that makes it as “fake” as those ads you just cited.

“I’m sorry you don’t participate in the TN forum here”

Actually, I didn’t know there was a forum. (How would I find it?) I would’ve LOVED to participate. We’ve lived here only a few years and aren’t very familiar with the political atmosphere in TN.

“there are no elected leaders.”

I didn’t say they were “elected” leaders. They lead / facilitate the meetings, notify of meetings via email, etc.

You’re a very hateful person.

This is how: Go to http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/my/

Select “My locale”

Select “Set My Location” in the upper left hand corner.

Choose “Tennessee” from the menu in the upper left hand corner.

Write your town or county below it.
