The ABA is a part of the Democratic party. No surprise here. They need to call for an investigation into the need for a psychiatric evaluation by someone with lots of experience in the field of histrionic personalities when legal matters come up where people accuse others of behaviors which cannot be backed up. These accusations can destroy lives. I have seen persons with histrionics spin the most elaborate tales. I know one who destroyed her family’s life almost from the day she was born. She probably had borderline personality disorder. She never had therapy because she was wealthy and had no children. Certain members of her family would never refute anything she did or said because they hoped to become heirs. Aside from her problem, she was smart, and even wrote her own eulogy and totally made the whole thing up. The family did not mourn when she was gone. Were Dr. Ford’s family or parents at that hearing yesterday? Just curious.

Please explain to me how the American Bar Association, hopefully populated by at least some attorneys who are familiar with the law, can be pushing for a federal agency to investigate a non-federal allegation over which they have no jurisdiction, and that alleges an incident that occurred 36 years ago.

Her nomination was withdrawn by Bush after heavy criticism by conservatives over her lack of qualifications and the perception that she was not a conservative. Miers was WH Special Counsel and a personal friend of Bush. She was appointed to head a committee to select potential SC nominees, but as Bush did with Cheney (who was originally the head of a committee to select candidates for the VP slot), he nominated Miers out of the blue.

After her nomination was withdrawn, Bush started taking advice from the Federalist Society, and nominated Sam Alito, who has been a solid conservative vote on the bench. Since then, the Federalist Society has become the premier source of advice for conservative justices - Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have their seal of approval, and
