I don’t know that it would matter much either, but if there were a law to be made it could be specific - specially tailored - to this and like group invasions. Think of the “Dreamers” special case situation by way of a guideline.
This is the ONE ISSUE the RATs were told not to talk about on the campaign trail. Make them wear it ... make them vote !!!
Declare a state of emergency, close the border, announce if anyone crosses it that US troops will occupy up to 100 miles of Mexican territory to create a safe zone for Mexican citizens and others that Mexico has allowed and facilitated crossing the border.

Yep. In regards to the Soros-funded protesters who’d head to the border: Post the Marines in flak vests, helmets, A4s locked and loaded. Have 1/3 of them face north, the rest face south.

It’s a duty—an imperative to protect the states from invasion.

One of the specific powers and duties of the Federal government is to provide for a secure border.
Article I section VIII paragraph 15 of the Constitution.
Pass a law?
The Constitution already states that the federal government is obligated to protect us from invasion.
They simply need to do their job.
Truman last president to call special session
While Congress has come back after final adjournments for its own special sessions to complete legislative work, the last session summoned by a president was proposed by Harry Truman when he accepted the Democratic presidential nomination.
That call turned out to be a centerpiece of his come-from-behind election win over Thomas Dewey.
The beleaguered Truman, expected to lose his bid for re-election by a wide margin, used the call for the special session as the start of an aggressive attack on the Republican-controlled 80th Congress and the entire GOP.
He accused lawmakers of not accomplishing anything and said he was calling them back into session in late July to get major legislation passed -- including aid to education, a national health program and civil rights bills.
'What that worst Eightieth Congress does in its special session will be the test,' Truman declared. 'The American people will decide on the record.'
Republican congressional leaders branded the session a 'political maneuver in (Truman's) campaign for his own re-election.'
Certain of victory in November, the Republicans killed or refused to take action on any of Truman's initiatives. Two weeks after it started, Congress adjourned its special session in August with no significant action -- giving Truman plenty of fuel for his election campaign.

That is precisely the correct response to the invasion, but...
Taking such an action just weeks away from the midterm elections would galvanize the Democrat voter base like nobody's business. It would quite literally create a blue wave, where currently none exists.
Much as I'd love to see a military response, Trump needs to stay his hand just an eensy bit longer.

How do you think the left would react to seeing the military deployed to the border right now? Don't you think such an action would galvanize them stir up a true blue wave?
I think it would cause voter participation on the left to skyrocket. They need a 'cause', and this would be it.
The media would certainly go to defcon 1 if he secured the border with the military.
Who CARES what the hell the media has to say, the American people WANT the border secure the media can SCREAM all they want it will do no good!!!!
As I understand it, the Posse Comitatus Act prevents the federal government from using the military as an inward facing, domestic police force.
Using the military to protect us from invasion is one of the federal government's primary constitutional obligations.

Thing is I BELIEVE that WE outnumber these radicals, there are Dems that are NOT radicals and WANT the border secure!!! Trump WON on immigration and I believe that was the MAIN REASON Trump won our country being invaded is HUGE with most Americans!!! These radicals are a VERY SMALL portion of our country they just have the media and BIG MOUTHS!!!
