Voter turnout for Tuesdays midterm elections may be affected as a potent storm unleashes rain, strong winds and potentially violent thunderstorms from the midwestern to southern United States.
According to research, weather influences some voters' response when making a decision to head to the polls.
"Weather was found to be, on average, nearly 20 percent of the change in voter turnout based on our analysis," according to AccuWeather Data Scientist and Meteorologist Tim Loftus.
"Democrats are more weather sensitive, when compared to Republicans, and among the most weather-sensitive were African-Americans, those 65 and older and 18- to 24-year-olds," he said.
Below is a breakdown of the weather expected on Election Day for the states with key races. Several of these states are in the path of the impending strong autumn storm:
It was a nightmare.
I woke up to find her gasping for breath and her belly all swollen up.
The vet had given her Rimadyl two days before and it blew out her liver.
She filled up with fluid and “drowned”.
I had only minutes to hold her, cry and beg her not to leave me before she gasped her last breath.
Still sobbing, I got dressed and we went up the road to vote.
I felt like her death was a bad omen...and it was.
:’(
I salute you, FRiend.....
Call the Campaign office, they will find you a ride BrewCrew!
Heavenly news!
Nothing would keep me from the pools Tues.
There’s no weather that I would not fight to go and vote.
So now even weather is racist?
LMBO!
Polls!
Not *pools*. I hate swimming.
POLLS.
There is no storm that would have stopped me from voting for Rick Scott/Ron DeSantis.
Good idea, but I am healthy enough to where I can do the walk without any problems. I would much rather have the GOP use their resources on people who truly need it instead. Every vote counts and I will vote regardless of weather.
However calling the Dems and having them give me a ride sounds pretty funny right about now. I just might do it.
ROFL - Sad but funny; everyone on here is funny !!!
Conservative drive 4x4 SUVs to the polls on election day, they don’t worry about the weather.
The average Demonrat sits on a bench at the bus stop in a pouring rain...nope!
Bunch of rain faggots
Yeah! Go John James and *all* Republicans on November 6th!
Exactly! Let's hope most of the democRATs are big procrastinators this year...
Sorry but I can find nothing funny about her death.
Bad prediction for dims
Rove, you magnificent bastard???
Can a felllow free per in Michigan help this patriot with a ride on Election Day? Or maybe he could call Uber...being as they’re acting charitable and all
So sorry for your loss... it’s hard to lose a good friend.
They are the best. So glad you could be there for her in the last moments.
