Dragging into its fourth week, all signs are on that the migrant caravan is falling apart.
According to the Associated Press:
ISLA, Mexico – A 4,000-strong caravan of Central American migrants traveling through Mexico split up into several groups with one spending the night in a town in the coastal state of Veracruz and other migrants continuing toward the country's capital.
The divisions came during a tense day in which tempers flared and some migrants argued with caravan organizers and criticized Mexican officials.
How did it happen? Obviously, someone promised them something for free and then didn't pay up. This is about what you'd expect when someone offers something for free, and then realizes that the whole thing is not going to pay off in the politically useful way he wanted.
Whether it was Venezuelan or Sorosian or Mexican, the free cash for a free ride to the border and all the free stuff of the U.S. just never materialized. That has raised questions about why the group should stay together instead of split apart. After all, anyone can apply for asylum to the states on his own. Applying in a 4,000-strong group pretty well means a long wait time.
A promised bus ride to Mexico City for thousands of migrants from Central America was the latest money that never materialized. Mexico's Veracruz governor, anxious to get the migrants out of his home state as soon as possible, promised them all free bus rides to Mexico City and then withdrew the offer, likely because Mexico City didn't want to take them. Federal authorities there warned the Veracruz governor he'd be charged with human-trafficking if his free bus rides rolled out to the Mexican capital. Obviously, Mexico City does not see itself as having much to gain politically from the big migrant caravan

I’m about 4 years ahead of you (finished grad school in May of ‘80 just before Reagan won). I voted for Bushes 4 times...the biggest stain possible on my voting record. W was so transparent as a Deep Stater, his two terms were an unmitigated disaster that led directly to putting Obama in the White House. I even consider my ‘76 dumb ass young guy vote for Carter as less damaging than any of my votes for the perfidious Bushes.

FOX was just reporting on it. FOX said they were given water and medical attention. Their shoes strings were taken and then they were driven to the BP office on the US side for processing because they asked for asylum which FOX said are the key words.
It’s not just how President Trump as responded publicly...but I’ll bet a billion dollars that he’s put a ton of pressure on Mexican and the other leaders to not assist or to stop this. Like “Hey, if this caravan gets to our border and causes a scene you can start kissing US money good bye.”
I seriously doubt there’s only 30 million illegals. That number has been thrown around for a decade. It’s easily close to 60 million.

If the Republicans win this election tomorrow, all of the caravan invaders who have split into smaller groups, can be rounded up and sent back. AG Sessions will be flipping burgers in the cafeteria.
Then a Big Beautiful Wall can be erected.
An anxious couple of days are here until we hear the real vote totals.
Trump should have a rally of 100,000 deplorables awaiting the caravan arrival at the border. Now that would be fun.
