Breitbart ^ | 11/11/18 | Charlie Spierling

“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism: Nationalism is treason,” Macron said, according to a Euronews translator.

Macron defended organizations like the European Union and the United Nations, hailing their ideals despite their “setbacks” over the years. He called for a new era of science-built progress.

Good thing my Huguenot ancestors left France about 1680...

Its a good thing they missed being herded into a forest (I forget which one) with hundreds (thousands?) of other Huguenots and being burned alive ...

I look forward to the day when those traitors such as Maricon, Merkel, Obama, Clinton, Soros, et al, get to swing from the end of a rope.

Except when the muslims get done, Paris (along with the rest of France) will be unrecognizable ... gone or converted will be all the cathedrals; the Louvre will be a garbage dump; graveyards from both world wars will be dug up, bones burned and paved over and so on - for starters.

It seems as though the French do not think they need the US as an ally. Cut the bastards loose! Throw all of the diplomats out of the country along with the rest of our EU non-friends. I can’t think of why anyone thinks we need them.

Of course it is. It’s treason with globalism. Whatever that means. He obviously hasn’t thought this thing through.

No nation has contributed more to true progress (not the phony “progress toward socialism” version that “progressives” believe in) than the United States. And the foundation for American progress has been reliance upon God, and upon natural law that recognizes rights and freedom granted only by Him. America has also only been able to prosper as it has because its citizens were traditionally restrained by God’s moral code, thereby utilizing the unprecedented freedom granted by our founding documents for good, and not as merely a license to indulge their carnal desires.

Of course, today we are saddled with hordes of Americans who know nothing of this, and who are living off the freedoms that remain while cluelessly trying to destroy those same freedoms in a misguided attempt to reach some socialist utopia. Macron would fit right in with these brainless, amoral idiots.

Will someone please tell me now if we are going to change the definition of words every time someone doesn’t like what they hear so I can be prepared to have my vocabulary turned upside down. The president of the US uttered a word - “nationalist” - a couple of weeks ago and people make it into headlines for the next year...or however long it takes for them to go off on another binge of complaining!

Everyone should leave the NEWS business immediately because what they do/say IS NOT NEWS! News is CA burning, voter fraud in FL and no doubt in AZ, (even tho’ we’ve been assured for years by the demon-rats that there is no proof that it has EVER HAPPENED! Think they’ll buy it now?

“Nationalism is a political, social, and economic system characterized by the promotion of the interests of a particular nation, especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining sovereignty over the homeland.”
Wikipedia

“Nationalism is a modern movement. Throughout history people have been attached to their native soil, to the traditions of their parents, and to established territorial authorities; but it was not until the end of the 18th century that nationalism began to be a generally recognized sentiment molding public and private life and one of the great, if not the greatest, single determining factors of modern history. Because of its dynamic vitality and its all-pervading character, nationalism is often thought to be very old; sometimes it is mistakenly regarded as a permanent factor in political behaviour. Actually, the American and French revolutions may be regarded as its first powerful manifestations. After penetrating the new countries of Latin America it spread in the early 19th century to central Europe and from there, toward the middle of the century, to eastern and southeastern Europe. At the beginning of the 20th century nationalism flowered in the ancient lands of Asia and Africa. Thus the 19th century has been called the age of nationalism in Europe, while the 20th century has witnessed the rise and struggle of powerful national movements throughout Asia and Africa.”
https://www.britannica.com/topic/nationalism

“nationalism. noun. Devotion, especially excessive or undiscriminating devotion, to the interests or culture of a particular nation-state. The belief that nations will benefit from acting independently rather than collectively, emphasizing national rather than international goals.”

” Nationalists feel a bond with their country, and they believe that this bond imposes moral obligations both ways: Citizens have a duty to love and serve their country, and governments are duty bound to protect their own people. Governments should place their citizens interests above the interests of people in other countries.
There is nothing necessarily racist or base about this arrangement or social contract. Having a shared sense of identity, norms, and history generally promotes trust.”

A very, very long YUGE article. Download it for later, so you can read it on an international flight or if you are held hostage in Iran., or sentenced to 25 years to life.
