Over 150,000,000 Americans have guns behind locked doors.
If the government ever chose to take those guns by force, a shooting war would erupt and we’d soon be forming a new government.
In my family, the men and women carry. The trend in America is towards constitutional carry and ownership and use. The author is missing these key points, and more. The occurance of wild animal attacks is up in america, more people carry for self defense than ever. Firearms confiscation will never occur in America.
Yes....Great book. I read it twice. If anyone wants to look it up and buy it, be prepared for the price! It has been out of print for some time and the last time I looked for a friend a used copy was going for over $200.00! After that experience I put my copy with my guns in the sfae.
Actually, those twenty guys will be using a no-knock warrant and kicking your door down, and shooting your dog first, before they shoot you. They are not going to ask nicely.
If you survive... you can ask for a copy of their warrant.

Any nation except the U.S.
We own more guns per capita, by far, than any other populace on the planet.
Gun ownership is woven into the fabric of our national identity and history.
Our right as citizens to possess arms is clearly stated in our nation's founding charter.
The idea that our guns are the foundational guarantor of our liberty, is hard wired into our national consciousness.
We are a peaceful people, but are distrustful of government, and easily roused to anger when our government threatens our God-given rights.
For all these reasons, you will never see wholesale gun confiscation in America.

Suppositional. Selco brings a fresh look to our situation, but does not complete the story. If confiscation takes place, I believe it will be isolated pockets deep in liberal territories.

It may not be Communism, or even particularly “progressive”, but gun confiscation is the first step to some kind of “command-and-control” type of ideology, and totally antithetical to any version of freedom and personal liberty.

As a non-citizen of the US the author doesn’t get it. A co-worker from Romania does not understand why Americans won’t give up a little freedom for “a little less crime”.
