Nothing personal against Selco but like most people from European countries he just doesn’t understand the American psyche. You could explain it to him for hours but if you don’t grow up here and if you are not ingrained in the American culture you just won’t get it.

While I am not in full agreement on every point, I think he makes excellent points in much of his article. He also speaks from a position that we have not experienced.
We must keep in mind that the fascist left is a master of incrementalism, magazine capacity restrictions are gateway regulations to more restrictive regulations with the end game to be the outlawing of privately owned firearms. There is absolutely no question about that.
For the most part, rather than showing up at your front door in force and demanding your guns, what the government will do is as he suggests, under one pretext or another simply destroy you in such a way that no one will pay attention to your guns and anything else being confiscated. The government’s biggest weapon is fear, and for the most part people do their best to simply stay below the government’s radar. The government has virtually unlimited resources to destroy people on a one-to-one basis. It happens every day.
If agents of the government show up at the doorstep of your neighbor and say that he has been found to be part of a suspected terrorist organization, or they have evidence that he has done research on bomb-making or anything of that nature, are you going to run across the street with your gun and start shooting at the cops?
The tried-and-true method of despots is to take the people out one at a time.
When the state of New York was going to put that veteran in jail for 7 years because of a couple of empty magazines in the trunk of his car, did anyone go out with their guns and begin shooting to defend him or rescue him? By the way does anyone know how that case came out?

That is already happening in New Jersey. And legal gun owners have already been killed in police raids.
The "Red Flag" laws are simply a trial run by the Left. They will push this sort of thing to other States and widen the interpretation of what constitutes a "Red Flag".
Not a registered Democrat and high-level party member? Known to have firearms? Recently annoyed Government officials with some kind of protest or petition? Out comes the Red Flag order.
Expect a raid at 5:00am next Tuesday. Ask to see a warrant and they will just shoot you for "resisting arrest and endangering an officer".
That is the key to stopping confiscations. If you kill my family in an illegal act there would be retribution, a blood feud as it were. Leave me alone and I leave you alone. You kill my family members the law gets a chance to serve justice if they don’t and fail, it will be served one way or the other.
If two or three of these goon squads are killed to a man they will have a hard time getting personal for them. If the fight is taken to their families even more so. I pray this never happens, but freedom isn’t free.
First is decapitation: Identify leadership by facebook posts, tea party involvement, anonymous denunciations, google, etc. Cut off power, credit cards, cell phones. Freeze bank accounts. ‘Rake in’ 100,000 or so. Then slowly and methodically roll up the rest of the troublemakers...
Without the will to use it, it is useless. And it must be used against THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS. Or perhaps they can start to have "accidents", or just disappear.

The fact remains that the “educated” Voters of America just handed the House back to a bunch of Gun Grabbers who have no respect for our Constitution and the limits it puts on our Government.
Nowadays it seems like Foreigners, Legal and Illegal have more Representation in our Government than do Natural Born Citizens.
We barely kept the Senate when over half of the Democrat Caucus was facing the Voters. The number of Seats at risk in the next two Election Cycles puts the GOP at a disadvantage.
That is an extremely big "If". It is certainly beyond the skills and capabilities of most firearms owners. And targeting their families will definitely harden the attitudes of police forces.
Competently managed police forces will not target the skilled 1% operators who might actually pose a threat of a counter attack. They will go after the "Elmer Fudd" and "Keyboard Commando" types.
There are plenty of authors and columnists who have gamed alternate resistance scenarios which probably have a much higher chance of success.
Specifically targeting "Celebrities", Journalists, Professors, "Public Relations Mangers" and "Community Activists" would be much easier and more likely to intimidate the Government without triggering an effective suppression effort. This is because Government officials hate some of their supporters almost as much as they hate their opponents.
"Divide and Conquer" works in multiple directions.
There are historical examples of this sort of thing with successful results. It clearly seems to work better than head-on attacks against police forces.
If you find yourself in a firefight with a SWAT team, then you are doing it wrong.
The primary targets should be THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.
