No Republican has ever treated Nancy Pelosi the way President Trump did yesterday. It was a glorious moment seeing him reminding her that he's the boss and she's not the boss.

I don’t think Bush I/II, Reagan, or even Ike...would have sent that letter to the House Speaker just as she got on the bus.

Have any of the faux-proles commented on the staggering Imelda Marcos-sized pile of luggage Pelosi was taking with her?
I’m sure half of it is makeup and the other half Johnnie Walker bottles, but still....

Taking a government funded world vacation while the rest of government is shut down and not receiving paychecks was pretty brazen anyway. Perhaps that’s why I hadn’t heard a word of it in the media until Trump shut the whole thing down.

She is not used to being treated like this, you see. She apparently expected she could cancel (ahem, postpone) the State of the Union address due to the shutdown and then disappear abroad. The money quote.

Well, if these fools ever again try to get selfies with US Service members, they had better hope they pick the 1 in 20 that supports Dems or they will get the Hillary treatment.

The letter was terrific and the timing of its delivery magnificent. Enjoy Trump’s presidency, chillun, we’ll never see that likes of him in the WH again.

Question is, will Pelosi and the Democrats come back to the table? Trump has his game plan and he is executing it to perfection.

Trumps response blocking Pelosis use of the aircraft was gutsy. It was a drain the swamp moment. But the timing was pure comedy gold. Pure joy...pure gold.

Trump’s move further weakens Pelosi. Throws more blood in the water for AOC and the Radical Young Turks. He is going to have them at each others throats by 2020.

I am sure Nanzi Progressive-losi must have been upset and given she is in the mid to advanced stages of Alzheimer’s Disease (I watched my brother in law digress from about where she is now (he was at her stage about two years ago). I took him to the VA over the past 9 days because between Thanksgiving and New Years he literally lost his memory, is stooped forward, pisses himself, and is just about gone. All I can say is life is cure and Nancy was probably voted into the Speaker’s Role as parting gift by the DNC since it the best they have for her long service. That said, I can’t wait until she and RGB are both gone - they have had bountiful lives.

Pelosi’s riposte would be the fund the trip herself, playing the martyr’s role. I suspect she’s too cheap to do it.

One of the reasons the "horror of the shutdown" just isn't catching on with Trump as president is totally ignored by the media. Obama worked throughout "his" shutdown to maximize the pain. Knowing the media will always blame the Republicans, he intentionally made the shutdown hurt normal Americans as much as he could. He actually tried to stop people from viewing national landmarks! He didn't stop using National Park police, he used them to deny people entrance to Park properties.
Inspiring this old graphic:

All I could think was, "In what world does this make President Trump look bad to anyone other than partisan Democrats?"

Oh, indeed you are right! I was amazed that the President had the stones to abruptly cut off a Democratic junket with such priceless timing. Donald J. Trump absolutely humiliated Nancy Pelosi et alia. I just can't stop grinning and chuckling. ^___^
Frankly, one can only hope for followup moves such as ordering only bread, water, and mac'n'cheese to be served to Democratic legislators who visit the White House. That would be comedy gold!
