No truer words have ever been written. This should be reposted every day until people begin to really notice the destruction going on right under their noses. And yet, today we have here on FR, a “discussion of bad refereeing” at a f*cking football game! I fear we have too many people whose priorities in life are clearly upside down. “Professional Team Sports,” and $hit on Television, the two narcotics of choice for too many of us. Oh well, when the sports on TV are through for the day, there’s always the “Do You Poop Enough” and “Discount Sex Toys” channels to watch. Who knows, maybe they can get a good deal on a vibrator to help them with their constipation! Maybe TV does still have some value?
It’s impossible to take these idiots seriously.

There ARE too many of those people, hence the state of the country, but I don’t think that’s true of the FR gang (there are always exceptions). But even people beneath the wheel need bread and circuses. I enjoy a few television shows and read fiction novels to relax. It doesn’t mean my priorities are screwed. It means thinking about the madness 24/7 can make you crazy. Diversions aren’t always bad.
And if Columbus had never “sailed the Ocean Blue,” the Americas still would have been found by Pedro Álvares Cabral, in 1500.

It might be different if circumstances were not so grave. But here we are, and each day I read or hear something that is so outrageous, that I wonder if the Left’s psychosis has gone viral. All I can say is TG for President Trump. It seems to me that we should be more focussed on our country today than twiddling our thumbs over a football game as if the outcome was critical for some unexplained reason.

True - yet, we still have to live our lives, work our jobs, pay our bills, take care of our families, and yes, eek out some moments to relax or enjoy a diversion here and there. If you enjoy football, the reasons seem clear. If you don’t it will seem absurd. Understood. But the little things are greatly affected by the state of the country as well as the critical things. So it can all be infuriating!
It’s still not too late to dig up the artist’s corpse and go full Khemer Rouge on his body for his “crimes”.
